“Background:
Severe pain of fingers and thumbs. Ongoing swelling of joints. Difficulty with writing, grabbing objects, opening doors, etc.
August 2021- “Test findings show that I have “erosive arthritis with moderate to severe osteoarthritis of left and right thumbs. Arthropathic changes most prominent in the right 3rd and 2nd left 4th and 3rd DIP joints.”
Rheumatologist recommendations:
> Occupational Therapy for 6 weeks
> Steroid injections on thumbs
Update on October 2021
Picture on left was taken in August 2021. Picture on the right was taken this month. I began showing signs of improvement on week 2 with less swelling each day. My joint pain has gone from a daily 9-10 to a zero-1. No difficulties of writing, grabbing objects, opening doors, etc., are present at current moment.“ - Agna
