✨ Have you ever attended a yoga class and found yourself wishing there was more opportunity to connect with the people around you?

Not just chatting while rolling up your mat, but sharing something a little more meaningful.

We often live side by side, yet rarely have the opportunity to truly meet.

In a world where many of us feel increasingly disconnected, there is something quietly beautiful about gathering with others in a space where there is no pressure to perform, impress or have all the answers.

This is one of the things Yolanda and I love most about Embracing Light.

Once a month, we gather with a small group of like-minded people for a gentle morning of movement, meditation, reflection, creativity and conversation.

There is time to slow down.
Time to breathe.
Time to listen.
Time to share, if you wish.

A space to reconnect with yourself, and to discover that you are not alone in the questions, hopes and challenges that life brings.

Again and again, people tell us how refreshing it feels to be part of a space where genuine conversation can unfold naturally.

A small community is gently forming - one gathering at a time.

If you’re longing for a little more depth, connection and community in your life, we’d love to welcome you.

In a world that often encourages us to push harder, move faster and do more, it can be easy to lose touch with ourselves.

What happens when we slow down?

What changes when we pause, take a breath and listen a little more deeply?

These are some of the questions that sit at the heart of Embracing Light, a gentle and reflective morning that Yolanda and I co-host in Ringwood.

Throughout the morning we weave together gentle embodied movement, meditation, creativity, reflection and nature-inspired practices. There is space to explore, to connect and to simply be.

One of the things I value most about these gatherings is the quality of connection that emerges. Not just chatting about the weather or exchanging pleasantries, but the kind of conversations and shared experiences that help us remember what really matters.

People often leave feeling more grounded, more centred and more at ease - as though they have come home to themselves.

If that sounds appealing, we’d love to welcome you.

✨ Embracing Light - Saturday 30th May ✨

Spring doesn’t arrive all at once.

A few warm days…
then rain,
wind,
a sudden cold snap -
and then softness and sunlight returning again.

Nature moves in waves.

And we do too.

At this time of year there can be a strong sense of wanting movement, clarity, change or growth - and yet many of us also feel tired, uncertain, emotional or frustrated when life doesn’t flow as smoothly or quickly as we think it should.

But what if this stop-start rhythm is not failure?
What if it’s simply part of the season?

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, spring is associated with the Wood element - the energy of growth, vision and movement. As we move closer toward summer, there can be an invitation to soften the pressure of “pushing forward” and begin opening more gently into warmth, ease, connection and enjoyment.

This month’s Embracing Light gathering will be a gentle space to explore exactly that.

Through slow grounding yoga, meditation, guided reflection, journalling and quiet shared space, we’ll take time to reconnect with ourselves and the natural rhythms moving through us - allowing both movement and rest, clarity and uncertainty, expansion and pause.

🌿 Saturday 30th May
🌿 Greyfriars Community Centre, Ringwood
🌿 10:30am – 1:30pm

A small, welcoming space to pause, breathe and reconnect.

With love,
Maja & Yolanda ✨

💫 Embracing Light - A Gentle Monthly Retreat Space 🌼

If you’re longing for a little space to slow down, breathe and reconnect, you’d be very welcome to join us for our next Embracing Light gathering in Ringwood.✨

These sessions offer a gentle and restorative 3-hour space away from the busyness and stress of everyday life, with:

🌼 Slow, relaxing yoga
🌼 A short silent sitting practice
🌼 Guided visualisation
🌼 Intuitive/somatic writing
🌼 Reflective conversation
🌼 A cup of tea and a small supportive circle ☕

The sessions are gently reflective and restorative, creating space to listen inwardly and reconnect with what feels grounding, nourishing and supportive.

This month we’ll be drawing lightly on themes of spring - growth, creativity and gentle forward movement - in a soft, accessible and sustainable way.

In the yoga practice, I will be gently weaving in awareness of the elements and subtle energy practices to support grounding, balance and relaxation.

Alongside this, Yolanda integrates elements of neuroscience, psychology, somatic work, NLP and intuitive awareness into the visualisation and reflective writing practices.

💫 Embracing Light – April Gathering 🌿

🌿 As Spring continues to unfold, the energy begins to gather momentum.

✨ There is a sense of movement, direction and possibility - a natural impulse to reach outward, to grow, and to take gentle steps forward.

🌱 In Traditional Chinese Medicine, the Wood element is associated with vision, direction and the ability to move with purpose. It supports growth, creativity and forward flow, helping us to sense where we are heading and how to move in alignment with that.

🌿 In this month’s gathering, we’ll be working with the qualities of the Wood element - supporting clarity, direction and a steady, grounded sense of momentum.

💫 Through gentle embodied practice, guided reflection and intuitive writing, we create space to connect with what is moving within you, and to explore how it might begin to take shape. 🌱✨

🧵✨ Threads of Life
Weaving together memories, stories and legacy ✨🧵

As part of Salisbury Hospice Charity’s Dying Matters Awareness Week, this gentle, creative session offers space to explore the threads that make up a life.

Through simple craft and writing practices, we’ll begin to piece together and weave memories, experiences and reflections - noticing what we carry, what has shaped us, and what we might leave behind.

Alongside the making, there will be space for quiet reflection, opening into themes around life, death, dying, and the cycles that hold it all - approached in a grounded and accessible way.

This isn’t about being “creative” or finding the right words -
just a willingness to explore, in your own way.

🧵 The session includes:
• Simple, guided craft and writing practices
• Time for reflection and gentle conversation
• Tea, biscuits, and all materials provided

💫 No experience needed
You’re welcome to bring your own journal if you wish.
