Every girl deserves the confidence to learn, grow, and dream without fear or shame.

This Children’s Day, we are reminded that the future of our communities depends on how well we support and protect our girls today. Yet, many young girls still miss school because they cannot afford sanitary pads or access proper menstrual education.

At End Period Poverty, we believe no girl’s future should be interrupted by her period. Through awareness, support, and access to menstrual hygiene products, we are helping girls stay confident, healthy, and in school.

Together, we can give every girl the dignity and opportunity she deserves.

Her Period Should Not Stop Her Dreams

A girl’s future should never be interrupted because she cannot afford a sanitary pad.

Across underserved communities in Nigeria, many girls miss classes every month during their periods due to lack of menstrual products, poor hygiene facilities, and stigma surrounding menstruation. UNICEF reports that inadequate menstrual support affects girls’ confidence, attendance, and education outcomes.

Behind every missed school day is a girl with dreams, potential, and a future that deserves protection.

Ending period poverty is not just about pads.
It is about:

Education
Health
Confidence
Equality
Dignity

We urge governments, private organizations, NGOs, and communities across Nigeria to support initiatives that provide:

Free sanitary pads for girls
Menstrual hygiene awareness
Safe school sanitation facilities
Community support for adolescent girls

When we support girls, we strengthen communities and build a better nation.

Donate sanitary products.

Help keep girls in school.

Menstruation is natural. Missing school because of it should never be normal.

Thousands of girls across Nigeria still struggle to access sanitary pads and menstrual hygiene support. Some use unsafe alternatives, while others stay home from school out of fear, shame, or discomfort. Reports show that lack of menstrual support continues to affect girls’ education and wellbeing.

This is more than a health issue;
It is a dignity issue.
It is an education issue.
It is a human rights issue.

Every girl deserves:
Access to free or affordable sanitary pads
Menstrual education without stigma
Clean and safe hygiene spaces
The confidence to stay in school every day

We call on the government, private sector, NGOs, and compassionate individuals to rise and support the fight against period poverty in Nigeria.

Your support can help a girl remain in school, protect her dignity, and give her hope for a brighter future.

Together, we can end period poverty and empower the next generation of girls.

What if something as natural as menstruation could stop a girl from going to school?

Unfortunately, this happens more often than we realize.

Many girls in Nigeria miss classes simply because they cannot afford sanitary pads or lack proper menstrual health education.

A JEEFAfrica, we believe no girl should feel ashamed or miss school because of her period.

Through our End Period Poverty for Girls in Nigeria Initiative, we are taking menstrual health education and support directly to secondary schools across Ebonyi State.

But to reach every school, we need your support.

You can help by:
✔ Donating sanitary pads
✔ Sponsoring our school outreach programs
✔ Partnering with us to expand this initiative
✔ Contacting us to learn how you can be involved

Together, we can create a future where every girl manages her period with dignity, confidence, and pride.

Join the movement. Support the girl child.

Every month, thousands of girls face a silent struggle.

Not because they are sick.
Not because they do not want to go to school.
But because they are menstruating and cannot afford sanitary pads.

Imagine a young girl missing classes, feeling ashamed, or staying at home simply because of her period. This is the reality of period poverty, and it is happening right here in Nigeria.

Through the End Period Poverty for Girls in Nigeria Initiative, led by JEEF Africa, we are taking action.
We are reaching out to secondary schools across Ebonyi State to educate girls about menstrual health and provide the support they need to stay confident and in school.

Menstruation is natural.
Missing school because of it should never be.

You can help us change this story through;
✔ Donation of sanitary pads
✔ Partnership
✔ Sponsor our school outreach programs

Together, we can ensure that no girl’s dream is interrupted because of her period.

End Period Poverty

If Periods Were a Choice, No Girl Would Choose Shame

Menstruation is natural.
Shame is not.

Yet millions of girls grow up feeling embarrassed about something their bodies were designed to do.
Because they cannot afford sanitary products, they use unsafe alternatives.
Because schools lack facilities, they stay home.
Because society stays silent, they suffer quietly.

Period poverty is a leadership issue, it is a policy issue and a community issue.
When we ignore menstrual health, we limit female potential.
And when we limit female potential, we limit national growth.

Let’s make menstrual dignity non negotiable.
