: BREAST CANCER — PREVENTION & EARLY DETECTION
: PLEASE DON’T SCROLL PAST THIS!
A breast lump isn’t the only sign to watch for when it comes to breast cancer. Sometimes, the earliest signs can be quite subtle. Getting to know your breasts and keeping an eye out for changes can truly save a life. ❤️
Breast cancer can impact women of all ages. While we can’t prevent every case, adopting some healthy habits might help reduce your risk.
🩷 WAYS TO LOWER YOUR RISK
✅ Stay active and make exercise a regular part of your routine.
✅ Keep a healthy weight.
✅ Enjoy a balanced diet rich in vegetables, fruits, and whole grains.
✅ Say no to smoking.
✅ Limit your alcohol intake.
✅ Be aware of your family history regarding breast and ovarian cancer.
✅ Follow the recommended breast cancer screening guidelines based on your age and personal risk factors.
🔎 WHAT CHANGES SHOULD YOU BE AWARE OF?
Keep an eye out for:
⚠️ A new lump or thickening in your breast or armpit
⚠️ Any changes in breast size or shape
⚠️ Skin dimpling or other unusual skin changes
⚠️ A ni**le that suddenly turns inward
⚠️ Unusual discharge from the ni**le, especially if it’s bloody
⚠️ Any persistent or unusual changes in your breast
Remember: Not every lump or change means cancer, but any new or unusual change should be checked out by a medical professional.
🎀 EARLY DETECTION IS KEY
Don’t wait until you’re in severe pain or have a noticeable lump before seeking help.
Know what’s normal for your breasts. If you spot something unusual, don’t hesitate to reach out to a healthcare professional.
And keep in mind, while being aware of your breasts is important, it doesn’t replace the need for recommended screenings like mammograms.
❤️ Ladies, prioritize your health. It’s not something to put off.
👉 TAG a woman you care about.
👉 COMMENT “I WILL” if you’re committed to taking your breast health seriously.
🎀 Your health is important. Early action can truly make a difference.

TITLE: 🩺 MAMA, DON’T FORGET YOURSELF AFTER DELIVERY! ❤️
Giving birth is a beautiful experience, but your care should not stop after your baby arrives. 👩‍🍼
Postnatal care helps monitor your recovery, blood pressure, bleeding, healing, breastfeeding, emotional wellbeing, and your baby’s growth and health.
🚨 Don’t wait until you feel seriously sick before seeking help. Attend your postnatal appointments and speak with a healthcare professional whenever you notice anything unusual.
Remember: a healthy baby needs a healthy mother. ❤️

NEW MOMS, PLEASE DON’T MAKE THIS MISTAKE! 🚨
Giving birth is NOT the end of your healthcare.
The weeks after delivery can be just as important as pregnancy.
Baby needs care—but MUMMY needs care too! ❤️👩‍🍼
🩺 WHY IS POSTNATAL CARE IMPORTANT?
Postnatal care is the healthcare a mother and her baby receive after childbirth. It helps make sure both are recovering and doing well.
For the mother, postnatal visits can help healthcare workers:
✅ Check blood pressure and general recovery
✅ Look for signs of infection or abnormal bleeding
✅ Check healing after a Caesarean section or vaginal delivery
✅ Support breastfeeding and proper nutrition
✅ Discuss family planning and contraception
✅ Provide emotional and mental health support
✅ Answer questions about your recovery and baby care
👶 For the baby, healthcare workers can monitor:
✅ Feeding and weight gain
✅ General growth and development
✅ Jaundice and other warning signs
✅ Umbilical cord healing
✅ Immunizations and routine newborn care
❤️ MAMA, PLEASE REMEMBER:
You gave birth to a baby, but that doesn't mean you should forget yourself.
Don't wait until you become seriously unwell before seeking medical care. Attend your scheduled postnatal visits and seek help promptly if something doesn't feel right.
💬 QUESTION FOR MOTHERS:
How many postnatal check-ups did you attend after your last delivery? Tell us in the comments. 👇

TITLE: WOMAN, PLEASE LISTEN TO YOUR BODY ❤️

A woman can be busy caring for everybody and still forget the one person who needs her most—HERSELF.
Your body gives you signals when something may not be right. Please don't ignore persistent changes just because you are busy with your family.
⚠️ 5 WOMEN’S HEALTH WARNING SIGNS YOU SHOULD NOT IGNORE:
1️⃣ Unusual vaginal bleeding — especially bleeding between periods, after s*x, or after menopause.
2️⃣ Persistent pelvic or lower abdominal pain — don't keep taking painkillers without finding out the cause.
3️⃣ Unusual breast changes — such as a new lump, ni**le changes, or skin changes.
4️⃣ Unusual vaginal discharge — especially when it has a strong smell, unusual colour, itching, or pain.
5️⃣ Unexplained tiredness or weight loss — particularly when it continues without an obvious reason.
👉🏽 These symptoms do not automatically mean you have a serious disease, but persistent or unusual changes should be discussed with a qualified healthcare professional.
❤️ Dear woman, don't wait until you become seriously ill before seeking help.
Take care of your family—but remember that YOU are part of that family too.
CAPTION:
Ladies, this is your reminder tonight: your health deserves attention too. ❤️ Don't normalize unusual bleeding, persistent pain, breast changes, or other symptoms that keep coming back. Early medical attention can make a difference. Tag a woman you love and let her know that her health matters. 👇🏽
