You will also discover why it's possible to get pregnant during your ovulation period and why you should master it.
Ovulation is the process where by the matured egg is released from one of the ovaries and this happens usually 14 days before the next period.
And When it comes to ovulation and pregnancy, getting pregnant during ovulation is possible.
Now, let's go deeper
HOW DO YOU CALCULATE THE FERTILE DAYS?
Fertile days or period are those period of menstrual cycle when your chance of getting pregnancy is very high.
The length of the menstrual cycle is typically is 28 to 30 days in most cases, though it can vary from 22 to 35 days.
And in some exceptional cases, can be 40 to 44 days.
Now, you calculate the length of the menstrual cycle startng from the first day of the period,
Remember, the first day of the period is the day when your bleeding starts.
For an average of 28 days menstrual cycle, ovulation usually occur about 14 days to the beginning of next cycle.
You can approximate ovulation day to the middle of the menstrual cycle.
So, this means that if you have a cycle of 28 days, the ovulation will now happen on 14 days,.
Once the egg is released, the life span of the egg is about two days which means that it's fertilizable up to two days after the in*******se when the s***m are released inside, they can stay alive for almost up to five days.
Therefore, this means that two or three days before the ovulation date and two or three days after the ovulation date is the time which is the FERTILE period.
So, in a 28 days circle, the ovulation happens on day 14 and the fertile period would be from day 12 to day 16,
Now, in a 32 day circle, the ovulation will happen on day 16, so the fertile period will be from day 14 to day 18.
Now in a woman whose circle is 40 days, her ovulation happens on day 20, so the fertile period will be from day 18 to day 22.
But note that this kind of calculation will work only if you have regular length of cycle.
If you have irregular cycle or period or some kind of hormonal issue, the calculation obviously will not work because you won't be able to identify the ovulation day.
