Hello besties! Hope you had a good night rest 😊
Quick one before you scroll past — it’s World Hypertension Day this week, May 17.
Here’s why you should care even if you feel fine:
Hypertension = high blood pressure. And it’s called the “silent killer” for a reason.
No pain. No warning. But over time, it’s damaging your blood vessels.
Especially the ones in your brain.
And when those vessels burst or block? That’s a stroke.
1 in 2 strokes are linked to uncontrolled hypertension.
Most people only find out after something goes wrong.
So here’s your 2-min action plan for this week:
1. Check your BP – pharmacy, clinic, or home cuff. Know your numbers.
2. Cut the salt – aim for less than 1 tsp a day.
3. Move 30 mins – walk, dance, stretch. Anything that gets you moving.
If it’s high, don’t panic. Talk to a doctor early. That’s what keeps you alive and independent.
Measure it. Control it. Live longer. ❤️
