I once hit “publish” on a post I thought would do well.
The problem?
It flopped—and not because the idea was bad.

The mistake was mine. I didn’t slow down to check a few simple things before posting. What I thought was “done” actually wasn’t ready for my audience. That moment taught me that good content isn’t just about writing—it’s about reviewing with intention.

Here are 3 things I now check before I post anything:

1. Clarity: Is my point simple enough that someone scrolling can get it in seconds?

2. Value: Does it give the reader something—insight, encouragement, or a takeaway they can use?

3. Hook: Does the opening line spark curiosity or make them want to keep reading?

Since I started using this checklist, my content has landed better, sparked more conversations, and actually connected.
Next time you’re about to hit “post,” pause and ask yourself: Does it pass the clarity, value, and hook test?
