Today, on the World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development, NASCP recognizes that culture, inclusion, and dialogue are essential to ending HIV, Viral Hepatitis, and STIs in Nigeria.

Diversity shapes how people access healthcare, seek information, and experience stigma. By embracing cultural understanding and community-driven solutions, we can break barriers to prevention, testing, treatment, and care for all.

No one should be left behind because of language, culture, gender, age, or background. Through dialogue, respect, and partnership, we can build healthier communities and strengthen the national response to HIV, Viral Hepatitis, and STIs.

Together, let’s promote inclusion, fight stigma, and ensure equitable access to health services for everyone.

The Gap We Can’t Ignore...
The numbers tell a story of disparity that we need to address now. When it comes to HIV prevalence, the gender gap remains a stark reality in our communities.

The Breakdown:
• Women: 1.8%
• Men: 1.0%
Women are currently twice as likely to be living with HIV than men. But the most alarming statistic lies with our next generation.

This isn't just a statistic; it’s a call to action. We must prioritize education, accessible healthcare, and empowerment for young women to close this gap for good.
