Typhoid is not always "just a fever."
If left untreated or treated improperly, it can lead to serious complications like intestinal perforation (a hole in the intestine), which may require emergency surgery

How to prevent typhoid:
Drink only clean, safe water.
Wash your hands with soap before eating and after
using the toilet.
• Eat properly cooked food and avoid contaminated
street food.
• Wash fruits and vegetables thoroughly
• Get vaccinated if you're at high risk or traveling to
an area where typhoid is common.
Note
If you have a persistent fever, don't self-medicate-see a healthcare provider early and complete any prescribed antibiotics.

Early treatment can save you from life-threatening complications. Prevention is always better than surgery
