Had an insightful experience recently while participating in the Capacity Building for Youth on Nationally Determined Contributions and Climate Action program.
It was nice to know there are actually National Climate Policies to mitigate climate change impacts in Nigeria and youth are truly the driving force behind the implementation of these policies, their innovative ideas and advocacy efforts ensure that climate action remains a national priority.
Youth engagement on social media plays a crucial role in amplifying climate action awareness and reaching a wider audience. Through online communities, hashtags campaigns, and social media challenges, they encourage climate action and bridge the gap between policy formulation and practical action.
Most importantly collaboration with stakeholders in the government and communities is key to ensuring a sustainable future. It’s essential for youth to invest in self-development and awareness to continue contributing to policies that impact them directly.
Kudos to for the valuable capacity building program supported by the German Mission in Nigeria.
This experience has laid a strong foundation for my journey as a sustainability enthusiast, one that I am eager to build on.
