Robomed announced yesterday the successful completion of the first robotic hernia repairs in West Africa’s history. The procedure was performed using the Toumai MT-1000 robotic surgical platform, the only NAFDAC approved robotic surgical system currently available in Nigeria, led by Dr. lyore James, assisted by Dr. Wesley Ekeruo. Both surgeons are Nigerian American, USA-based board certified surgeons.
