QUICK WORKOUT WEDNESDAY
Exercise While Folding Clothes
“Turn laundry time into calorie-burning time.”
Mom, be honest…
How many times have you looked at that mountain of clothes and thought:
“I'll exercise later.”
Then later becomes
time.
Dinner becomes bath time.
Bath time becomes bedtime.
And suddenly… another day has passed without moving your body.
But what if you stopped waiting for the “perfect time”?
What if you turned something you already have to do—folding clothes—into a mini movement session?
TRY THIS LAUNDRY WORKOUT:
While sorting clothes:
Do 20 standing knee lifts.
While folding:
Do 10–15 squats between piles.
While putting clothes away:
Take a few extra trips instead of carrying everything at once.
While matching socks:
Stand tall and do 20 calf raises.
Keep moving throughout the laundry session and you'll be getting more activity without needing to block out an hour for the gym.
And here's the psychological trick:
Don't tell yourself, “I need to work out.”
Tell yourself:
👉 “I'm just going to move while I finish this task.”
That tiny mental shift can make exercise feel less like another responsibility and more like something you naturally fit into your day.
Because busy moms don't necessarily need more time.
Sometimes, we simply need to use the little moments we already have differently.
Your laundry doesn't have to be another reminder of everything you have to do.
Today, let it be a reminder that you can take care of yourself while taking care of your home.
CHALLENGE: The next time you fold clothes, add 30 squats + 30 knee lifts + 30 calf raises.
Then come back and comment “LAUNDRY DONE!” 👇🏽
