We set alarms for meetings, hair appointments, and even to drink water. ⏰ But when last did you set a reminder to check your breasts?

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, but let's keep it real awareness without action doesn't do much. The good news? Catching it early changes everything.

Here is your quick, no-stress checklist for this month:
✨ Look: Stand in front of your mirror. Notice any changes in shape, skin texture (like dimpling), or color?
✨ Feel: Take a few minutes in the shower to check for any unusual lumps or thickened areas. Know what your "normal" feels like.
✨ Nourish: Keep your body’s defenses up with good, nutrient-rich food (yes, eating your greens and natural spices matters here too! 🥦) and staying active.
✨ Screen: Over 40, or have a family history? Go ahead and book that mammogram.

Your health is your greatest wealth, sis. Don't put yourself on the back burner.
Drop a 💕 if you’re doing your self-check this week, or tag a friend to remind them to do theirs! Let's look out for each other. 👇🏾

BREAST CANCER AWARENESS 🎀 Part 1

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Early detection makes a real difference. The sooner something is found, the more options there are.

And it's not only a women's issue. Men are not spared either. It's rarer in men, but it happens, and it's often found late because most men never think to check.

So this month, let's talk about it, one part at a time. Know your body, and don't ignore changes. 💗

*Part 2: Chewing Stick vs. Toothbrush*

Remember our discussion about *pako* (chewing stick)? 🌿

Our parents and grandparents used it, and some of us still do today. But have you ever wondered what makes it effective?

Chewing sticks can help remove food particles and plaque from the teeth when used properly. Some plant species used for chewing sticks also contain compounds that researchers have studied for potential antimicrobial effects.

But here is something important: *"not all chewing sticks are the same, and their benefits depend on the plant, preparation, and how they are used."*

🪥 *What about the modern toothbrush?*

A toothbrush, when used correctly with fluoride toothpaste, helps remove plaque and provides fluoride that strengthens tooth enamel and helps prevent tooth decay.

🌿 *So, which should you choose?*

The key is effective cleaning, protecting your teeth from decay, and keeping your gums healthy. Chewing sticks may be part of oral hygiene, but they should not automatically be considered a complete replacement for a toothbrush and fluoride toothpaste.

Let's hear from you!

1️⃣ Have you used chewing stick and toothbrush together before?

2️⃣ Which one do you use more often?

3️⃣ Did you know that fluoride helps protect your teeth against cavities?

Let's learn and grow healthier together! 💚

CLEANLINESS 🧼

Part 1

Another important part of maintaining good health is cleanliness.

But today, let’s talk about oral hygiene. 🦷

Have you ever experienced mouth odor from someone?
Yes… it can be quite unpleasant. 😅

So, the question is: how do we effectively keep our mouth clean?

Of course, brushing our teeth is something most of us do every day. But there’s also a traditional method many of us grew up knowing and some people still use it today.

Chewing stick (Pako).

For generations, chewing sticks have been used to clean the teeth and mouth. But beyond cleaning, did you know they may have other benefits too?

Let’s hear from you 👇

1. Do you still use chewing stick (pako)?

2. Do you think modern toothbrush and toothpaste can completely replace it?

Drop your answer in the comments. 👇

Monday came again and somehow, the to-do list was already waiting for me. 😮‍💨😂

Before the day starts running you up and down, sort yourself out first. 💚

Eat something real.
Drink some water. 💧
Take a breath.
Then face that to-do list. 📝

You don’t have to figure out the whole week today. Just take care of yourself and handle what’s in front of you. 🌿

Now tell me 👀
How’s Monday treating you so far? Rate it from 1–10! 😂👇🏽

Not at all.

Just keep it simple.

👉🏽 Try one or two fruits instead of turning the whole fruit basket into one drink.
👉🏽 Don’t strain away the pulp unnecessarily.
👉🏽 And sometimes, just eat the fruit whole.

Because sometimes, the healthier choice isn't about what you eat…

It’s also about how much and how easily you consume it.

Be honest 😂👇🏽
Have you ever made one of those “healthy” fruit cocktails and felt like a health guru afterwards?

Tell me your favourite fruit combo in the comments 🍌🍊👇🏽
