This is the yellow root vitamin A cassava (TMS 1368)
The coloration of the Vitamin A cassava is due to the high β-carotene (beta-carotene) level present in the plant.
This Vitamin A cassava was developed to combat micronutrient deficiency ( hidden hunger) while serving to drive out hunger with cassava being a major staple food consumed by 6 out of every 10 household.
Whst is the advantage of vitamin A cassava over the contemporary white cassava?
The presence of the Provitamin A is the major advantage

Consumption of the Vitamin A cassava products provides about 25-40% Vitamin A which is needed for good eyesight and immune system development in growing children under the age of five and in adults too.

It can be used to make garri, akpụ, abacha, flour and so many other value added products

When can it be harvested? Its high yeild and can be harvested from 8 months

Where can I get the stems? We have vitamin A cassava stems available in Enugu. We also have the 419 cassava that matures in 6 months too
