Ever wondered why babies spit up when laid flat after feeding?

When a newborn lays flat immediately after drinking, milk easily flows back up the esophagus, causing reflux and discomfort. Holding your baby upright against your shoulder for 15–20 minutes after meals lets gravity do the heavy lifting—keeping milk down and helping them digest peacefully!

COMMON REMEDIES FOR DIAPER RASH 👶🏽❤️

1️⃣ Change the baby's diaper frequently to keep the skin clean and dry.

2️⃣ Clean the baby's bottom gently with lukewarm water and a soft cloth. Avoid rubbing the skin.

3️⃣ Allow the baby's skin to air-dry completely before putting on a fresh diaper.

4️⃣ Apply a thin layer of petroleum jelly or a zinc oxide diaper-rash cream to create a protective barrier against moisture.

5️⃣ Give the baby some diaper-free time when possible to allow the skin to breathe.

🚫 Avoid powders, harsh soaps, perfumes, and fragranced products, as they can make irritation worse.

⚠️ If the rash is severe, has blisters, sores, pus, fever, or isn't improving after a few days, speak with a healthcare professional.

You want to have a safe delivery right?
Oya na,There are 5 THINGS EVERY PREGNANT WOMAN SHOULD DO FOR A SAFE DELIVERY 🤰🏽❤️

1️⃣ Attend your antenatal appointments
Don't skip your checkups. They help your healthcare provider monitor both you and your baby and detect possible complications early.

2️⃣ Eat well and take your prescribed supplements
Eat nutritious meals containing protein, vegetables, fruits, whole grains and other healthy foods. Take your prescribed iron, folic acid and other pregnancy supplements as directed.

3️⃣ Stay active if your healthcare provider says it's safe
Gentle activities such as walking can help you maintain strength and fitness during pregnancy. Always follow your healthcare provider's advice about exercise.

4️⃣ Prepare yourself for labour and delivery
Learn the signs of labour, know when to go to the hospital, prepare the things you'll need, and discuss your birth preferences with your healthcare provider.

5️⃣ Never ignore warning signs 🚨
Seek medical care urgently if you experience heavy bleeding, severe abdominal pain, severe headache or blurred vision, difficulty breathing, seizures, leaking fluid, or significantly reduced baby movement.

❤️ Remember: There is no guaranteed way to have a complication-free delivery. Every pregnancy is different, so always follow the advice of your doctor or midwife.

THIS IS A VERNIX CASEOSA. 👶🏽🫧*
That white, creamy substance you sometimes see covering a newborn immediately after birth is called vernix caseosa.

It may look like something that needs to be washed off immediately, but guess what?
It actually serves a purpose.

Vernix is a natural protective coating made up of water, fats, and proteins. It helps protect the baby’s delicate skin while in the womb and can also help keep the skin moisturized after birth.

So no, baby didn’t come out “dirty.”
That white coating is actually part of the baby’s natural protection system.🧠🩺
Nature really knows what it’s doing. If possible, it should be left for 6-24 hours after birth before washing off...
Please avoid washing it immediately after birth

This is what a placenta looks like, imagine the size of the wound it leaves behind in a woman’s uterus, that’s one of the reasons why we advocate giving yourself time to heal before getting pregnant again.
And know the kind of man you make a father, and a husband
It will let you know how much you’ll heal fast.

Fact 👌

I repeat have a kind partner. And as a man please do well to behave well and not be wicked during postpartum... some women don't survive it
