Stop! Just pause for a second đł
Why are we turning baby food into a mixture of everything in the kitchen and expecting miracles?
Rice + soya + tigernut + coconut + plantain + potatoes + 3 more grainsâŚ
And then you say:
âMy baby is eating very well but not gaining weightâ đ
Let me say what many people wonât tell you đ
Too much mixture can actually affect your babyâs weight gain.
Yes⌠itâs possible.
Your babyâs stomach is small and still developing.
Itâs not designed to handle overload.
When you mix too many foods at once:
Digestion can become stressful
Some nutrients may not be properly absorbed
Your baby gets full quickly without getting enough usable nutrients
So what happens?
Your baby eats ârichâ foodâŚ
but the body doesnât fully utilize it đł
And you keep wondering why the weight is not adding up.
Let me challenge you today đ
Keep it simple:
One main food (e.g. pap, rice, yam)
One protein (e.g. egg, fish, beans)
One healthy fat (e.g. palm oil, groundnut oil)
Thatâs how digestion improves
Thatâs how nutrients are better absorbed
Thatâs how healthy weight gain happens
Stop cooking to impress people
Start feeding to nourish your baby â¤ď¸
Because at the end of the dayâŚ
Itâs not about how many ingredients you add,
Itâs about how much your babyâs body can actually use.
If youâve been overmixing, no judgmentâjust adjust đ¤
