Also the World Health Organisation (WHO) in her research stated that, stroke is the most leading cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide and it is more worsen in developing countries.
What do we understand by the word stroke?
Firstly, it is Norma known as Cerebro-Vascular Accident (CVA) or Cerebro-Vascular Disease (CVD) in medical parlance. But, is generally knowns as "Stroke". It is an attack to the brain when blood flow to the brain in cut short or is disrupted. This shortage of blood flow to the brain might be due to rupture of blood vessels leading to leakages to the surrounding cells. It might be due to a blockage in the blood vessels, which prevents the blood from reaching their designed destination. In the advent of any of the above scenario, some areas of the brain are deprived blood supply and consequently oxygen supply. This kills the brain cells and the ability to control the area of the brain such as memory, and muscles coordination are lost.
Stroke can be as a result of the aneuryms burst or a weakened blood vessel leak which is refers as Haemorrhagic Stroke or as a result of the blood vessel carrying blood to the brain been blocked by a blood clot this is called Ischemic Stroke.
Stroke can result to lasting brain damage and long-term disability or even dealth depending on the level of the brain been affected or damaged.
