📢 Today: Enriching young minds: Educational excursion at State Hospital, Ijebu-Ode! 💡

Today, State Hospital, Ijebu-Ode had the pleasure of hosting students from Insight Secondary School, Ijebu-Ode, for an educational excursion.

The visit was aimed at exposing students to the healthcare environment, helping them understand medical services, hospital management, and various career opportunities in the health sector. They had the opportunity to explore the hospital’s facilities, learn about the diverse roles of healthcare professionals, and understand the importance of health and service delivery.

It was an invaluable and inspiring experience for their learning journey.

Day 2 Update: Specialized Training In Progress!

The Ogun State Government Ministry of Health, in partnership with Christian Blind Mission (CBM) and Sightsavers, continues the Lymphatic Filariasis (LF) Clinical program today at State Hospital, Ijebu Ode!

Our dedicated surgeons and theatre staff are engaged in essential practical training and specialized technique demonstrations.

Today's program included a critical Technical Meeting involving CBM representatives, trainers, and the medical team, as well as a briefing with the Chief Medical Director of State Hospital Ijebu ode, Dr. Banjo A.A, to finalize preparedness.

REMINDER: The FREE Hydrocele Surgeries are confirmed to take place! It is still ongoing till the 🗓️ 12th of December 2025.

The Ogun State Government (Ministry of Health), Public Health Department, Neglected Tropical Disease (NTDs) unit, in partnership with Christian Blind Mission (CBM) and Sightsavers, has officially commenced the Lymphatic Filariasis (LF) MMDP program at State Hospital, Ijebu Ode!

The launch includes essential preparatory sessions for medical personnel and patient screening in advance of the:

An impactful day of learning at the State Hospital, Ijebu-Ode. The Monthly Seminar series on Oxygen Therapy, presented by the esteemed Dr. Shotayo Oluwakemi Adenike (Consultant Anesthesist & Head of Department, Anesthesia, OOUTH, SAGAMU), was highly informative.

The session was an excellent opportunity for nurses and doctors to deepen their knowledge.
The lecture covered essential aspects of Oxygen Therapy, including its core principles, indications for use, and the practical handling of equipment and delivery methods.

Thank you to all who participated and contributed to a productive learning environment.
