INGAWA MEDICAL & HEALTH STUDENTS ASSOCIATION SUCCESSFULLY CONCLUDES TWO-DAY CPR TRAINING WORKSHOP.

The Ingawa Medical & Health Students Association (IMHSA) has successfully conducted a two-day workshop on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), aimed at equipping community members with essential life-saving skills. The event, which took place from 22nd March, 2024 to 23rd March, 2024, was facilitated by Dr. Abdulmuminu Sama'ila Ingawa MBBS, a renowned MBBS professional, who provided expert guidance on the importance and techniques of CPR.

The workshop brought together a diverse group of participants, including local healthcare professionals, students, and members of the community, who were trained in both theoretical and practical aspects of CPR. The hands-on training was designed to empower attendees with the confidence and skills necessary to perform CPR in emergency situations, potentially saving lives in critical moments.

The event also saw the attendance of Hon. Abubakar Idris O², the elected Chairman of Ingawa Local Government. Hon. Idris, who was deeply impressed by the initiative, pledged his full support for the association and its future activities. In his address, he emphasized the importance of CPR training for the local community and expressed his commitment to supporting the association’s efforts in every possible way.

"The Ingawa Local Government is dedicated to the well-being of its citizens. We understand the value of proper emergency training and we will work to ensure that every teacher in our primary and secondary schools is trained in CPR," Hon. Idris stated.

Looking ahead, IMHSA has set its sights on supporting the training of all primary and secondary school teachers across the Ingawa Local Government area on CPR, ensuring that educators are well-equipped to respond to emergencies. This initiative will help create a safer environment for students and staff, enhancing the overall health preparedness in the community.

IMHSA expresses its gratitude to Hon. Abubakar Idris for his support and to all those who participated in the workshop. The association remains committed to improving health education and emergency preparedness throughout the region.
