Before you dive into the weekend, we would like to share a gentle reminder with you. ✨️

You've spent the week pushing hard, working hard, staring at screens, and managing all the stress that comes with it. But just like our eyes need to blink to refresh, our bodies and minds need a real break to function well. Beyond caring for your , we also care about your overall well-being.

This weekend, do yourself a favour:
☆ Put your devices down for a few hours.
☆ Let your shoulders drop and just breathe.
☆ Give yourself permission to rest.

You’ve worked hard all week, and you’ve truly earned this break. Have a beautiful, restful weekend from all of us at NOBIS EYE CENTRE! 💙

Let’s talk about a different kind of vision today... 🤍

Happy New Week, Family. As we all rush into this new week, checking things off our to-do lists, planning our goals, and pushing ourselves to work hard, we want to pause and ask a real question:

How are you actually doing inside?

May is Month, and today, we thought to take a pause from our usual eye-health tips to check in on your heart and mind. Because the truth is, you can not separate your physical health from your emotional health.

We see it all the time in our hospital - just like physical eye strain leaves you exhausted and blurry at the end of a long day, mental and emotional strain can cloud your whole world. It makes the brightest days feel very heavy.

Remember this: It is not a sign of weakness to feel overwhelmed. It’s not a failure to say, "I am tired," or "I need to talk to someone." Taking care of your mind is a necessity. 🍃

This Month, as you protect your sight, try to protect your mental and emotional well-being as well:
• Give yourself permission to step away from the screens and just breathe.
• Lower the pressure you're putting on your own shoulders.
• Speak to yourself with the same kindness you'd give to others.

At the end of the day, we don't just care about how clearly you see the world, we also care about how you see yourself and how happy and at peace you are living. Please be gentle with yourself. You matter to us. 💙

Many people believe that if they can read the smallest line on a visual acuity chart, their eyes are healthy. But a perfect 20/20 result doesn't tell the whole story.

Some conditions like Glaucoma, Retinal thinning, or Hypertensive changes can hide behind "clear" vision for years without a single symptom. And by the time they notice a change, damage may already be done.

At NOBIS EYECENTRE, we look beyond the chart. Our comprehensive exams check the internal health of your eyes to ensure you have a healthy vision and, as well, a good sight. Don't just test your sight - protect your entire eye health. Visit our head office:

Wait! Did you know that some people believe wearing glasses prescribed by an optician will make their vision 'lazy' or weaker?
If you are one of them - don't worry, you are not alone! 😄

The myth that wearing your glasses too much will make your eyes totally dependent on them is FALSE!

Think of glasses like a high-quality camera lens. They help your eyes focus without straining. Your eyes don’t get 'lazy' from seeing clearly; you just get used to seeing the world as it should be. In fact, not wearing glasses, especially for children, can lead to more damage. Just as crutches support a healing leg, so are glasses for damaged vision.

If you have prescribed glasses, wear it with confidence 😎. Connect with NOBIS EYE CENTRE for more tips like this!👍

Happy Friday! 🥳

As the week wraps up, take a second to check in with your eyes. Sometimes, vision changes happen so slowly that we don't even notice. If you’ve been experiencing any of these, it might be time to visit an eye hospital:

1. Squint: Are you narrowing your eyes to read or focus on an object?

2. Headache: Do you experience frequent headaches after a few hours of focus?

3. Zoom: Do you find yourself zooming inward or farther away to see clearly?

Don't push through the blur! An eye examination can make your vision better. Visit NOBIS EYE CENTRE

Happy New Week! 🥳

Are you starting your week behind the screen? Your digital devices might be mandatory for your work and studies, yet long hours staring at your screen are unhealthy for your eyes. Here is a great way to balance your eye health while still using your devices ⤵️

Apply the 20-20-20 rule:

• 20 Minutes: Every 20 minutes spent looking at a screen...
• 20 Feet: Look at something at least 20 feet away...
• 20 Seconds: For at least 20 seconds.

Looking at things up close for too long keeps your eye muscles tense. It is advisable to look into the distance (20 feet away) to allow your eye muscles to relax, reducing headaches and blurred vision.

Try this and let us know if it was helpful! 😎
Cheers to a blessed and fulfilling week.
