My dearest Osiwa, my beautiful angel,❤️💯

Today is the first Sunday of October, and my heart hurts all over again💔❤️‍🩹. It feels like the world has continued moving, but a part of me is still standing at the place where I lost you.

My precious girl, I miss you more than words can ever explain. I miss your smile, your little voice, your dancing, your beautiful energy, and all the little things that made you you. I would give anything to hold you in my arms again, even for just one moment.

I wish I could tell you one more time how deeply Mommy loves you. I wish I could watch you grow, hear you laugh, see the beautiful girl you would have become, and make all the memories I imagined we would have together.

I am sorry for all the things I wish I could have done differently. Mommy carries so much love for you, and sometimes that love comes out as tears because there is nowhere on earth for me to put it.

Osiwa, you will never be forgotten. You are not just a memory. You are my daughter, forever a part of my heart ❤️‍🩹and my story.

Today, I choose to believe that you are safe in God's hands, where there is no pain, no fear and no suffering.🕊️

Sleep peacefully, my precious Angel.
Until the day God allows us to meet again, Mommy will carry you with her.

I love you beyond this life, beyond words, and beyond forever.💯🥰

Happy remembrance day, my beautiful Osiwa.
Mommy loves you. Always. ❤️🕊️

🤰🏽 STRESS MANAGEMENT IN PREGNANCY: TAKE CARE OF YOUR MIND TOO! 💕

Pregnancy is a beautiful journey, but it can also come with worries, physical changes, relationship challenges, financial pressure, school/work demands and lack of sleep.

A little stress is normal. However, ongoing or severe stress deserves attention.

🌸 What can stress look like during pregnancy?

You may notice:
• Constant worrying or overthinking
• Feeling overwhelmed or emotionally drained
• Frequent crying or irritability
• Difficulty sleeping
• Headaches or muscle tension
• Changes in appetite
• Feeling unable to cope with everyday activities

🌿 Simple ways to manage stress

1. Breathe and relax 🧘🏽‍♀️
Take slow, deep breaths. Try prayer, meditation or gentle relaxation exercises.

2. Get enough rest 😴
Your body is doing extra work during pregnancy. Rest whenever you can.

3. Eat well and stay hydrated 🥗💧
Regular nutritious meals and enough water can help support your energy and wellbeing.

4. Stay gently active 🚶🏽‍♀️
If your healthcare provider says exercise is safe for you, gentle walking and pregnancy-appropriate exercises can help reduce tension.

5. Talk to someone you trust ❤️
You don't have to carry everything alone. Talk to your partner, trusted friend, family member, midwife, doctor or another supportive person.

6. Make time for things that bring you peace 🌸
Listen to music, read, pray, spend time in nature, or simply sit quietly and rest.

7. Ask for professional help when needed 🩺
If stress feels overwhelming, lasts for a long time, affects your sleep or appetite, or makes it difficult to function normally, speak with your healthcare provider or a mental-health professional.

❤️ Remember:

Not every stressful moment will harm your baby. Don't blame yourself for having difficult emotions.

Your mental health matters too.

🌷 Take it one day at a time, Mama. You are doing your best — and that matters.

🩺 5 SIGNS YOUR LIVER COULD BE UNDER STRESS

Your liver works quietly every day to process nutrients, break down substances, make important proteins, and help remove waste from your body.

But when the liver is inflamed or damaged, your body may give you warning signs.

⚠️ 1. Yellow eyes or skin (Jaundice)
A yellowish colour of the eyes or skin can occur when bilirubin builds up in the blood. This can be a sign of liver or bile-duct problems and should be medically assessed.

⚠️ 2. Dark urine or unusually pale stool
Dark urine, especially when accompanied by yellow eyes, may occur when bilirubin levels are elevated. Very pale or clay-coloured stool can also indicate a problem with bile flow.

⚠️ 3. Persistent tiredness or weakness
Feeling unusually tired for a prolonged period can occur with some liver conditions. However, tiredness has many possible causes, so it does not automatically mean your liver is damaged.

⚠️ 4. Pain or discomfort in the upper-right abdomen
The liver is located mainly in the upper-right part of your abdomen. Some liver conditions can cause discomfort or a feeling of fullness in this area.

⚠️ 5. Swelling of the abdomen or legs
Fluid accumulation in the abdomen (ascites) or legs can occur in advanced liver disease and requires medical attention.

🚨 IMPORTANT:
Many liver diseases—especially in their early stages—may cause few or no symptoms. So don't wait for symptoms before taking care of your liver.

✅ Avoid excessive alcohol
✅ Be careful with unnecessary medicines and herbal mixtures
✅ Maintain a healthy weight
✅ Eat a balanced diet
✅ Get tested for hepatitis when appropriate
✅ See a healthcare professional if you develop persistent or worrying symptoms.

💚 Your liver may be working silently, but that doesn't mean you should ignore it.

🤰🏽 ALCOHOL IN PREGNANCY: IS ANY AMOUNT SAFE?

If you are pregnant, the safest choice is not to drink alcohol at all. 🍷🚫

Alcohol crosses the placenta and reaches the developing baby. The baby’s liver and other organs are still developing, so the baby cannot process alcohol as effectively as an adult.

🍺 What can alcohol do during pregnancy?

Drinking alcohol during pregnancy can increase the risk of:

🔸 Miscarriage
🔸 Stillbirth
🔸 Premature birth
🔸 Low birth weight
🔸 Problems with brain development and learning
🔸 Growth and developmental problems
🔸 Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) — a group of lifelong conditions associated with prenatal alcohol exposure.

❓“What about just one drink?”

There is no established safe amount, safe time, or safe type of alcohol during pregnancy. This includes b**r, w**e, spirits, cocktails and alcoholic beverages such as alcopops.

The risk generally increases with greater alcohol exposure, but because a completely safe level has not been established, avoiding alcohol is recommended.

🥂 What about non-alcoholic drinks?

Be careful with labels. Some products described as “non-alcoholic” or “alcohol-free” may contain small amounts of alcohol depending on the product and local regulations. During pregnancy, check the label and choose genuinely 0.0% alcohol options when possible.

❤️ “I drank before I knew I was pregnant.”

Don't panic or blame yourself. Stop drinking now and tell your antenatal-care provider. They can advise you based on how much and when you drank.

Every pregnancy is different, and stopping alcohol at any stage can help reduce further exposure.

👉🏽 Bottom line: If you're pregnant or trying to conceive, choose alcohol-free options. Your baby's developing brain and body are worth protecting.

🌸 MENSTRUAL CRAMPS: WHAT ARE THEY & WHAT SHOULD A WOMAN DO?

Many women experience lower abdominal pain before or during their period. This is commonly called menstrual cramps (dysmenorrhea).

🩸 WHY DO MENSTRUAL CRAMPS HAPPEN?

During menstruation, the uterus contracts to help shed its lining. Chemicals called prostaglandins trigger these contractions. When prostaglandin levels are high, the contractions can become stronger and more painful.

You may feel:
• Cramping or aching in the lower abdomen
• Pain in the lower back or thighs
• Headache
• Nausea
• Tiredness or weakness
• Diarrhoea in some women

🌿 WHAT CAN A WOMAN DO TO RELIEVE THE PAIN?

✅ 1. Use warmth
Place a warm—not dangerously hot—water bottle or heating pad on the lower abdomen or back. A warm bath may also help relax the muscles.

✅ 2. Stay physically active
Gentle exercise such as walking, stretching or light yoga can reduce menstrual pain for some women.

✅ 3. Rest and sleep well
Adequate rest can help you cope better with pain and fatigue.

✅ 4. Stay hydrated
Drink enough water and eat balanced meals. Limiting excessive caffeine may also help some women.

✅ 5. Pain medicines can help
Medicines such as ibuprofen or naproxen are often effective because they reduce prostaglandins. They work best when taken early in the pain/period according to the package directions or a healthcare professional's advice.

⚠️ If you are pregnant, have stomach ulcers, kidney problems, take blood thinners, or have another medical condition, ask a healthcare professional before using NSAIDs such as ibuprofen or naproxen.

🚨 WHEN SHOULD YOU SEE A DOCTOR?

Don't simply assume severe period pain is "normal."

See a healthcare professional if:
🔴 The pain is severe or prevents you from going to school/work.
🔴 Your period pain suddenly becomes much worse than usual.
🔴 You have very heavy bleeding.
🔴 You have pain between periods or during s*x.
🔴 You have abnormal vaginal discharge or fever.
🔴 Pain continues despite appropriate treatment.
🔴 Your periods become unusually irregular or you have difficulty becoming pregnant.

Sometimes severe menstrual pain can be caused by conditions such as endometriosis, fibroids, adenomyosis or pelvic infection, which may require medical treatment.

💗 REMEMBER:
Some period pain is common, but severe pain that repeatedly disrupts your life deserves medical attention.

Your menstrual pain is not something you have to silently endure every month.
