Mark 6:31 "Then, because so many people were coming and going that they did not even have a chance to eat, he said to them, 'Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.’”

In an ever busy world, many times, we are carried away with activities.

Coaches will always tell you to show up. To be consistent and be top of mind.

However, behind the Gram and appearances is a real human.

Running from one goal to another and keeping it together.

A year ago, I returned to Nigeria after my Master's program. Same year, I juggled it with many online engagements including the Reckitt Accelerator program.

We also built, tested, shipped and grew the Preggify App to couple thousands of women the same year.

It was from one congratulations to another and more and more expectations.

Oh, we also got into the Antler Nigeria Residency, which didn't come easy.

This is about business,
A walk down my personal life as a human, wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, etcetera didn't go on holidays either.

The same year, I got a huge flower for my winnings. I also got a huge flower for a terrible loss.

But, I kept moving hoping that time would make everything beautiful.

However, 2 months ago, I came to terms with this scripture above.

Even Jesus would have asked me to go to a quiet place and rest.

I am glad I did take that break. Sincerely, It became so peaceful offline that I struggled to come back online as planned.

But beyond my personal desire to prolong this beautiful offline life, there is something greater than self and I must listen.

Let's say, I am back (not the Ronaldo type, though 😀)

I am here now, differently motivated and authentically present.

You will connect with me as a human with her own life, a wife and mother with real life responsibility, a doctor with almost a decade impacting health of women, a founder who has seen what good healthcare looks like and has contributed towards it or just as someone who has won some, failed at some but never quitting.

How have you been, my lady?

Preeclampsia is not always about swollen legs,

She was a 25 year old mother of 2.
Presented at 36 weeks for her routine antenatal.
Routine vitals was checked and her blood pressure was very high.
Her urine showed 3+ of protein.

She was surprised because,
There was no headache,
No swollen leg
No tummy pain
No blurry vision

She was feeling very okay.

She was sent to the labour ward for delivery,
But she was counselled for CS.
Initially she rejected it, because that was her 3rd and she never experienced such.
I took it personal.

Counselling is my best specialty😁
After 10 minutes, she signed and we went in.
The husband was in another state, so we reassured him.
Luckily, the hospital didn't need deposit and materials were provided.

Within 5 minutes in the theatre, baby was out.
The woman promised to buy me a car for taking time to counsel her. (I never see my car, shaa).

She was happy and later brought her family to thank me.

Preeclampsia can be silent yet very deadly.
It caused 20 deaths in every 100
The best way to save a woman is to diagnose it early, and manage it well.

The easiest way to diagnose it is to check your blood pressure weekly and track it (Use Preggify App)
Then do your urinalysis weekly from 22 weeks(it is easy to do at home).

When in doubt, speak to a doctor immediately (available on the Preggify App.
