‎WHAT IS AUTISM?
‎Autism, formally known as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), is a neurodevelopmental condition that affects how a person perceives the world, interacts with others, communicates, and behaves. It is called a “spectrum” disorder because it presents in varying degrees of severity, from mild to profound impairment.

‎Autism is not a disease or illness, but a developmental condition that typically appears in early childhood, usually before the age of 3 years. Individuals with autism often have unique strengths alongside their challenges.

‎CAUSES OF AUTISM
‎The exact cause of autism is not fully known, but research suggests that it results from a combination of genetic and environmental factors.

‎A. GENETIC FACTORS
‎- Autism tends to run in families.
‎- Certain gene mutations and inherited traits increase the risk.
‎If one identical twin has autism, the other has a high chance of also having it.

‎B. BRAIN DEVELOPMENT AND NEUROLOGICAL FACTORS
‎Differences in brain structure and function have been observed in individuals with autism.

‎Eclampsia is a severe and life-threatening complication of pregnancy characterized by the occurrence of seizures in a woman with pre-eclampsia. It is usually associated with hypertension, proteinuria, oedema, and multiple organ dysfunctions. Eclampsia is one of the major causes of maternal and fetal morbidity and mortality worldwide, particularly in developing countries.

‎ Nutrition plays a very important role in the prevention, management, and recovery of women with eclampsia.

Proper nutritional management helps to:
‎- Support maternal health
‎- Improve fetal growth and development
‎- Prevent worsening of hypertension
‎- Reduce complications
‎- Maintain electrolyte and fluid balance
‎ - Promote recovery after delivery
‎ Although nutrition alone cannot cure eclampsia, it forms a vital component of comprehensive medical management.

‎OVERVIEW OF ECLAMPSIA
