Arome Daniel* paid a high-level advocacy and familiarization visit to the Kogi State Health Insurance Agency, popularly known as Bello Care.
The visit was not just ceremonial—it was purposeful, timely, and people-centered.
At the heart of this engagement was a deep expression of appreciation by the JONAPWD Chairman *Hon. Arome Daniel* to the visionary initiator of the health insurance scheme, former Governor Alh. Yahaya Adoza Bello, whose foresight laid the foundation for accessible healthcare for the vulnerable. Equally commended was the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo, for sustaining and strengthening this life-changing initiative, ensuring continuity in governance and people-oriented policies.
Hon. Arome Daniel the chairman of JONAPWD also applauded the exceptional leadership and administrative excellence of the Executive Secretary of Health Insurance Agency, Dr. Aledare Adekunle, whose dedication has continued to translate policy into tangible impact across the state. His commitment to service delivery has positioned Bello Care as a beacon of hope, especially for persons with disabilities.
As part of the visit, the newly elected executives of JONAPWD—emerging from the December general elections—were formally presented to the agency. This marked the beginning of a renewed partnership built on trust, collaboration, and shared vision for inclusivity.
In a passionate appeal, the association called for the expansion of the program to accommodate more persons with disabilities, stressing the urgent need to deepen access to affordable healthcare for this critical segment of society.
In a show of responsiveness and goodwill, Dr. Adekunle not only assured the delegation of the agency’s readiness to do more but also immediately demonstrated action by handing over 100 enrollment forms to the State Chairman of JONAPWD, Hon. Arome Daniel, to facilitate the inclusion of more beneficiaries into the scheme.
The moment was further enriched by heartfelt testimonies from members of the executive, who shared real-life stories of how the program has positively impacted their lives—clear evidence that government policies are working for the people.
In his closing remarks, Hon. Arome Daniel poured out his appreciation for the Governor, the Agency, and its leadership, acknowledging their unwavering support for persons with disabilities. He reaffirmed that under his leadership, JONAPWD will continue to stand as a strong partner in progress, offering not just support but also prayers for divine guidance, protection, and greater success for the Governor, Dr. Adekunle, and the entire staff of the agency.
This visit is a clear testament that when leadership meets compassion, governance becomes meaningful, and no one is left behind.
