Friday Fan Tips! Every Friday, Guestchef will announce simple, quirky cooking tips that will heighten anyone's level of cooking!

Today's Friday Fan Tip: Use REGULAR olive oil when frying or sautéing. While extra-virgin olive oil is the purest and least acidic of the oils, it is too expensive and has too rich of a taste to be used simply for preparing a dish. Instead, regular olive oil's flavor is perfectly strong enough to tackle any fried or sautéed dish and it's a WHOLE lot cheaper! Only use extra-virgin olive oil as a finish, drizzling it on top of grilled veggies, fish, chicken, or even salad. Your taste buds won't know the difference, and your wallet will be a lot happier!
