๐Ÿ“ฑ๐Ÿ‘ง *The digital world is shaping our childrenโ€™s health every single day.*

๐Ÿ’™ Technology can help children learn, create, connect and access health information. But how digital platforms are designed also matters.

Research links excessive digital exposure, especially among vulnerable young people, with increased risks of:

๐Ÿ˜Ÿ Anxiety and depression
๐Ÿ˜ด Poor sleep
๐Ÿ“‰ Less physical activity
๐Ÿค Fewer real-life social connections

๐Ÿšจ Children may also be exposed to harmful content, misinformation, online exploitation and marketing of unhealthy products.

*What can families do?*

โœ… Create screen-free moments, especially during meals and before bedtime.
โœ… Encourage outdoor play, hobbies and time with family and friends.
โœ… Talk openly about what children see and do online.
โœ… Use age-appropriate safety and privacy settings.
โœ… Remember: quality of screen time matters just as much as quantity.

โค๏ธ The goal isnโ€™t to eliminate technologyโ€”itโ€™s to help children enjoy its benefits while growing up healthy, safe and connected both online and offline.

๐ŸŒก๏ธ Heat can be dangerous, but a few simple steps can protect you and your loved ones.

๐Ÿฅต When temperatures rise, your body has to work harder to stay cool. Too much heat can lead to heat exhaustion or even life-threatening heatstroke, especially for older adults, young children, pregnant women and people with heart, lung or kidney conditions.

*Beat the heat with these simple tips:*

โœ… Drink water regularly (donโ€™t wait until youโ€™re thirsty!)

๐Ÿงข Wear light, loose-fitting clothes and a hat.

๐ŸŒณ Stay in the shade or indoors during the hottest hours of the day.

๐Ÿšฟ Cool down with a cool shower or a damp towel.

๐Ÿ  Keep your home cool by closing curtains during the day and opening windows at night.

๐Ÿ‘ถ Never leave children or pets in parked cars โ€“ not even for a minute!

โค๏ธ Check on older relatives, neighbours and anyone living alone.

โš ๏ธ Feeling dizzy, confused, nauseous or extremely hot? These could be signs of heat illness. Move to a cool place, drink water and seek medical help if symptoms are severe.

๐Ÿ’™ Stay cool, stay hydrated and look out for one another!

โ˜€๏ธ Extreme heat can be dangerousโ€”even deadly.
Heatwaves are becoming more frequent and intense, increasing the risk of heat exhaustion, heat stroke, dehydration, and worsening existing health conditions.
Stay safe during extreme heat: ๐Ÿ’ง Drink plenty of water. ๐Ÿ  Stay in cool or shaded places. ๐Ÿ‘• Wear lightweight, light-colored clothing. ๐ŸŒž Avoid outdoor activities during the hottest hours. ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ‘ง Check on older adults, children, and people with chronic illnesses.
Recognizing the signs of heat-related illness early can save lives.
At Jahwins Lab, we are committed to promoting health awareness and helping communities stay safe during extreme weather.

๐ŸŒ Climate change is not just an environmental issueโ€”it's a public health emergency.
Rising temperatures, extreme weather, poor air quality, and changing disease patterns are affecting millions of lives worldwide.
Key facts: ๐Ÿ“Š Around 3.6 billion people live in areas highly vulnerable to climate change. ๐Ÿ“Š Climate change is expected to cause about 250,000 additional deaths each year between 2030 and 2050 from malnutrition, malaria, diarrhea, and heat stress. ๐Ÿ“Š Heat-related illnesses and climate-sensitive diseases are increasing around the world.
Take action today: โœ… Reduce your carbon footprint. โœ… Use clean and sustainable transportation. โœ… Plant and protect trees. โœ… Conserve water and energy. โœ… Support climate-friendly policies and communities.
Protecting the planet also protects our health.
At Jahwins Lab, we are committed to raising awareness about environmental health and disease prevention.

โšก๐Ÿ’ก *Electricity isnโ€™t just about turning on a light.* It can save lives, improve health and create opportunities.

๐ŸŒ Today, *655 million people* around the world still live *without electricity*, while *2 billion people* cook with wood, charcoal or kerosene, filling their homes with harmful smoke.

๐Ÿ  Household air pollution from these fuels is linked to *around 3 million deaths every year*.

๐ŸŒฑ Renewable energy now provides *more than 30% of the worldโ€™s electricity*, and solutions like off-grid solar and mini-grids are bringing clean, affordable power to more communities.

*What can you do?*

โœ… Save energy where possible.
โœ… Choose energy-efficient appliances and LED bulbs.
โœ… Support clean cooking and renewable energy initiatives in your community.
โœ… Spread awareness that access to clean, reliable energy is about more than convenience. Itโ€™s essential for better health, cleaner air and a brighter future for everyone.

๐ŸŒ The air you breathe could be affecting your health every day.

Air pollution is one of the world's leading environmental health risks. It contributes to millions of premature deaths each year and increases the risk of heart disease, stroke, lung cancer, and chronic respiratory diseases.

Key facts: ๐Ÿ“Š Around 7 million premature deaths are linked to air pollution annually. ๐Ÿ“Š 99% of the world's population breathes air that exceeds WHO air quality guideline limits. ๐Ÿ“Š Cleaner air means healthier lives and stronger communities.

Help reduce air pollution: โœ… Use public transportation, walk, or cycle when possible. โœ… Plant and protect trees. โœ… Avoid burning waste. โœ… Save energy and reduce emissions. โœ… Support clean air initiatives in your community.

Every action counts. Together, we can create a cleaner, healthier future.

At Jahwins Lab, we promote environmental health through education, prevention, and awareness.

๐Ÿ’™ Breathe Clean Air. Live Longer.
