Breast cancer awareness starts with knowing what is normal for your breasts and noticing changes early. You can check your breasts at home, but a self-check cannot confirm or rule out breast cancer. Medical assessment and appropriate screening are important too.

Warning signs to take seriously
• Watch for any new or unusual changes, including:
• A new lump in the breast or armpit.
• A change in breast size, shape or appearance.
• Skin dimpling, puckering, redness or thickening.
• A newly inverted ni**le or persistent ni**le rash.
• Unusual ni**le discharge, especially blood.
• Persistent breast or ni**le pain.

These symptoms can have causes other than cancer, and many breast lumps are benign. However, don’t ignore them or wait for pain to develop before seeking medical care.

Check with these simple steps today. Save and share this post to someone.

That skipped heartbeat isn’t always something to ignore.

Have you ever felt your heart race, flutter, or skip a beat and thought, “It’s probably nothing”?

Occasional palpitations can have harmless causes, but recurring episodes may need medical evaluation.

An ECG (electrocardiogram) records your heart’s electrical activity and can help identify certain irregular heart rhythms. The test itself usually takes only a few minutes.

At Wakamedics, we encourage you to pay attention to your body and seek medical advice when something doesn’t feel right.

Don’t just assume. Get checked.

Call or WhatsApp 0706 409 9521 to enquire about booking your ECG appointment.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

A gentle reminder to every woman: taking care of yourself also means paying attention to your breast health.

Breast cancer awareness is more than wearing pink. It is about knowing your body, recognizing changes, seeking medical advice when something feels unusual, and keeping up with appropriate breast screening.

Please remember:

* Get familiar with how your breasts normally look and feel.
* Pay attention to unusual lumps, changes in breast shape or size, skin dimpling, ni**le changes, or unusual discharge.
* Seek medical evaluation for any new or concerning changes.
* Discuss appropriate screening with a qualified healthcare professional.

Breast cancer can affect anyone, and early evaluation matters. You do not have to wait until something feels wrong before taking your health seriously.

This October, encourage the women you love to prioritize their breast health. A conversation today could make a difference tomorrow.

Your health matters. Your life matters. Make breast health a priority.

Not every struggle is visible. Not every smile tells the whole story.

Behind the everyday responsibilities, the pressure to keep going, and the words “I’m fine,” there may be someone silently hoping to be understood.

This World Mental Health Day, let’s remember that mental health conversations should go beyond awareness. They should create room for real stories, honest conversations, and meaningful change.

Listen without judging. Check on your loved ones. Make it safe for people to speak without feeling weak or misunderstood.

You don’t have to have all the answers to support someone. Sometimes, being present and listening is a powerful place to start.

At Wakamedics, we believe that caring for people means recognizing the importance of their well-being, both physically and emotionally.

Let’s make mental health a conversation we can have without shame. Every voice deserves to be heard. Every experience deserves compassion.

What is one thing you wish more people understood about mental health?
