SUBJECT: AWARENESS CAMPAIGN ON IMO TERTIARY INSTITUTION SOCIAL HEALTH INSURANCE PROGRAMME (IMO-TSHIP)
This memo is to inform the entire student body of Imo State University about a recent meeting I attended today August 11, 2025, with the Imo Tertiary Institution Social Health Insurance Programme (IMO-TSHIP) Committees.

The meeting was a critical step in a collaborative effort to ensure all students are aware of and enrolled in this vital health program.
About IMO-TSHIP
IMO-TSHIP is a social health insurance scheme designed specifically for students in tertiary institutions across Imo State. The program aims to provide students with access to quality healthcare services at an affordable rate, thereby ensuring their well-being and academic success.
BENEFIT PACKAGE
➡️ Shall comprise preventive, promotive, rehabilitative and curative services.
➡️ Aim at minimum primary and secondary care, taking into cognizance the prevailing local disease burden and morbidity pattern amongst tertiary institution student in Imo State.
➡️A student under the Imo-TISHIP shall be entitled to the benefits of primary, secondary, and tertiary services as contained in the IMSHIA benefit package.
As the SUG Director of Health, I urge all students to actively participate in the upcoming awareness and enrollment drives that will be organized across campus. Your health is your wealth, and participating in the IMO-TSHIP program is an investment in your well-being and academic future.
More details on the enrollment process, designated healthcare providers, and specific benefits will be communicated in subsequent announcements. I encourage every student to stay informed and take advantage of this incredible opportunity.
