Two weeks ago, I mandated all my students not to be part of my Mathematics and Physics classes until they obtained the recommended textbooks. I made it clear that if purchasing new copies was difficult, they could borrow or obtain used copies from friends, relatives, or former students.

One of the brightest students in the class repeatedly informed her parents about the requirement, but they paid little attention and failed to provide the books.

Determined not to miss her lessons, the student eventually $tøl£ money from her parents and used it to purchase the two textbooks.

When her parents discovered what had happened, they brought her to the school and demanded that she be disciplined for her actions. Now, imagine you are the school principal, what would you do?
1. Pünish the student for stæling?

3. Counsel both the student and her parents?
