๐Ÿฉบ 10 Simple Health Tips Every Woman Should Know

By Nurse Queendaline

Every woman deserves to live a healthy, confident, and vibrant life. But in our busy world, we often forget to take care of ourselves while caring for others.
Whether youโ€™re a student, mother, nurse, or working woman, these 10 simple health tips will help you stay strong โ€” physically, mentally, and emotionally.

---

1. Never Skip Breakfast

Breakfast gives your body the fuel to start the day right. Choose healthy options like oats, boiled eggs, or fruits instead of sugary snacks.
A balanced breakfast improves energy, focus, and metabolism.

---

2. Stay Hydrated Always

Water helps regulate body temperature, flush toxins, and keep your skin glowing.
Aim for 6โ€“8 glasses daily. You can also add lemon or cucumber slices for extra freshness.

---

3. Move Your Body Daily

You donโ€™t need an expensive gym to stay fit. A 30-minute brisk walk, skipping, or dancing around the house can make a big difference.
Exercise keeps your heart strong, reduces stress, and helps maintain a healthy weight.

---

4. Practice Good Personal Hygiene

Good hygiene prevents infections and boosts confidence.

Bathe daily

Change underwear regularly

Keep your intimate area clean and dry

Trim nails and maintain oral hygiene

---

5. Get Enough Sleep

Your body heals and restores energy while you sleep.
Aim for 7โ€“8 hours of restful sleep each night. Avoid late-night scrolling or TV before bed.

---

6. Eat Balanced Meals

Fill your plate with:

Vegetables and fruits ๐ŸŽ

Whole grains like rice or oats

Lean proteins like fish, beans, or eggs

Healthy fats like avocado or olive oil

Balanced meals strengthen your immune system and keep hormones in check.

---

7. Schedule Regular Health Check-ups

Donโ€™t wait until you feel sick.

Get your blood pressure and sugar level checked regularly

Do breast self-exams monthly

Visit your doctor or nurse at least once a year for a general check-up

Early detection saves lives.

Greetings dear sisters and friends, your friendly nurse Queendaline is here again to enlighten you on body odour, it's causes, prevention and natural remedies.

> โ€œBody odour is a natural smell that occurs when sweat mixes with bacteria on the skin. Itโ€™s common during puberty, but with good hygiene and healthy habits, it can be controlled naturally.โ€

Increased sweating during puberty.

Wearing dirty or tight clothes.

Eating too much oily or spicy food.

Not drying the body properly after bathing.

Bathe once or twice daily, especially after sweating.

Wash armpits, groin, and feet with mild soap.

Change underwear and socks every day.

Rinse and dry the body properly after bathing.

๐ŸŒผ B. Natural Cleansers

Lemon juice: kills bacteria and freshens the skin.

Apple cider vinegar: natural disinfectant.

Baking soda: absorbs sweat and neutralizes odour.
(Note: Apply gently and avoid on freshly shaved skin.)

๐Ÿ‘š C. Clean and Breathable Clothing

Wear cotton fabrics that allow air circulation.

Avoid wearing damp or tight clothes.

Wash clothes and underwear regularly.

๐Ÿ’ง D. Adequate Hydration

I'm nurse Queendaline (RN, RM, BNSC).
Due to the increase in the rate of cancers especially in the younger ages,I want to share with you the ways you can prevent cancers of the female reproductive system.

Cancer Prevention for the Female Reproductive System (Ages 12โ€“55 years)

1. Cervical Cancer Prevention

HPV Vaccination

Start from age 9โ€“26 years (can be given up to 45 years).

Protects against the virus that causes most cervical cancers.

Regular Cervical Screening (Pap Smear & HPV Test)

Pap test every 3 years from age 21โ€“65.

HPV test (or co-testing) every 5 years from age 30โ€“65.

Practice Safe S*x

Use condoms to reduce HPV and other STIs.

Limit number of s*xual partners.

2. Ovarian Cancer Prevention

Know Your Family History

Genetic risks (BRCA1/2 mutations, family history of breast/ovarian cancer).

Seek genetic counseling if high risk.

Healthy Lifestyle

Maintain a healthy weight.

Eat more fruits, vegetables, and whole grains.

Pregnancy and Breastfeeding

Multiple pregnancies and breastfeeding lower risk.

Oral contraceptive pills (used for โ‰ฅ5 years) may reduce risk (discuss with doctor).

3. Uterine (Endometrial) Cancer Prevention

Weight Management

Obesity increases risk (excess estrogen).

Exercise at least 30 minutes a day.

Monitor Menstrual Changes

Report abnormal bleeding, especially after age 40.

Safe Use of Hormones

If taking estrogen (for menopause or other reasons), combine with progesterone.

4. Vaginal and Vulvar Cancer Prevention

HPV Vaccination (same as cervical cancer).

Avoid Smoking โ€“ smoking increases risk.

Regular Self-Checks โ€“ check for lumps, sores, itching, or color changes.

Routine Gynecological Exams โ€“ yearly pelvic exams to detect early changes.
