World Hepatitis Day | 28 July 2026 πŸŸ‘πŸ”΄

Someone can carry Hepatitis B for years and feel completely fine until liver damage has already started.

That's the danger. It hides.

Theme: Hepatitis: Let's Break It Down!

We already have what it takes to stop viral hepatitis , vaccines, testing, and treatment. What's stopping people isn't science. It's stigma, cost, and access.

Let's break those barriers down:
1️⃣ Get tested β€” know your status
2️⃣ Get vaccinated β€” protect yourself against Hep B
3️⃣ Talk about it β€” silence helps the virus, not you

Have you been tested this year? πŸ‘‡

🚬 I can stop smoking anytime.

Then why not today?

On this International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, remember this:

Every cigarette delivers ni****ne that keeps you addicted while quietly damaging your lungs, heart, and blood vessels.

Smoking doesn't usually kill suddenly, it steals your health one puff at a time.

🚭 Don't let a cigarette decide how long you live.

Quit today. Your lungs will thank you. Your heart will thank you. Your family will thank you.

Choose life. Choose freedom. Say NO to addiction.

πŸ’› Nurse, my baby's eyes are yellow. How many days will the baby stay on phototherapy?

Not so fast.

Yellowish discoloration alone can't answer that question.

Newborn jaundice happens when bilirubin builds up in the blood causing yellowish discoloration of the skin and eyes. But how long a baby stays on phototherapy depends on how high the bilirubin level is, how old the baby is in hours, and whether that level is rising or falling.

That's why we don't guess. We test.

⚠️ Untreated severe jaundice can cause brain damage, hearing loss, and cerebral palsy. Early detection changes everything.

Don't judge jaundice by appearance alone. Check the bilirubin level. Act early. Save a life.

Growing old is a privilege, not a punishment. 🀍

The way we treat our older adults says a lot about us. Today, on World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, let's remember that abuse is not always physical, it can be neglect, harsh words, abandonment, or taking advantage of their trust.

Our parents and grandparents deserve patience, respect, and care. Everyone deserves to age with dignity.

🚨 My blood pressure has gone down, so I stopped taking my drugs.

Three days later, she was back at the health facility barely able to walk, staggering, and confused.

Her medication had finished. She felt fine, so she didn't refill it.

Here is what she didn't know:

Your blood pressure did not become normal because you were healed. It came down because your medication was doing its job.

The moment you stop, your BP can rebound, sometimes dangerously fast. And when it does, the consequences can be devastating:

❌ Stroke
❌ Heart attack
❌ Heart failure
❌ Kidney damage

These are not distant risks. They happen every day to people who felt perfectly fine.

So what should you do?

βœ… Take your medication exactly as prescribed every single day.
βœ… Refill your drugs before they finish, don't wait.
βœ… Check your BP regularly, even when you feel well.
βœ… If your readings seem low or you're experiencing side effects, talk to your doctor, don't stop the medication on your own.

Feeling fine is not a reason to stop. It may be the very reason you're feeling fine.

If you think your treatment needs to change, consult your doctor first. They can safely adjust or stop your medication.

πŸ’™ Your medication is not the enemy it may be the very reason you're feeling well today.

Behind this white uniform is a registered Nurse who believes one thing deeply the right health information can save a life.

I've watched people suffer from conditions that were entirely preventable. Not because they didn't care about their health, but because no one ever explained it to them clearly enough to act.

That's why I created Bera Health Hub.

This page exists to close that gap. I'll break down diseases, bust myths, simplify medications, and turn health awareness into information you can actually use in plain, everyday language.

No confusion. Just honest, practical health education from someone who has seen firsthand what happens when people don't have it.

I'm putting a face behind the page today because I want you to know there's someone here who genuinely cares about your health. 🀍

So let me ask you this:
πŸ’¬ If you had a nurse right in front of you and could ask her anything about your health what would your question be?

Drop it in the comments. Every single question will get a response. πŸ‘‡

Follow Bera Health Hub, your health deserves more than guesswork. πŸ’™
