FACT: The belly fat you are trying to burn is not just a weight problem.

It is often a hormonal signal your body is sending.

Many people are told that belly fat simply comes from eating too much and moving too little. Because of this, they spend years on the treadmill while the belly stays exactly where it is.

One reason is visceral fat.

Visceral fat is the fat that surrounds your liver, pancreas, and intestines. It pushes the stomach outward and does not move easily, no matter how many sit-ups you do.

This type of fat behaves differently from the fat under your skin. It responds strongly to hormones.

Three hormones play a major role: insulin, cortisol, and oestrogen.

When insulin stays high for long periods, the body receives a constant signal to store fat around the organs.

Years of bread for breakfast, wheat for lunch, sugar in tea, malt drinks, fruit juice, snacking, and late-night eating can keep insulin elevated. When this happens, storing fat around the organs becomes easier. That is visceral fat.

Exercise alone cannot fully override that signal while insulin remains high.

Cortisol also plays an important role.

When sleep is poor, stress is constant, and the nervous system rarely gets a chance to recover, cortisol rises. High cortisol often encourages fat storage around the midsection.

Good evening Dr.
Please, my pregnancy is 25weeks and 4days old but my ultrasound today shows my baby is breech. What can I do to enable the baby turn head down❓

Response
At 25 weeks, you should NOT worry about your baby's presentation/ position. MOST babies will turn on thier own without any maneuver❗

Generally before 24-26 weeks most babies will lie diagonal or sideways in the Transverse Lie position. Some babies will have different positions.

By about, 29 weeks most babies will turn vertical and some will be breech.
By the time you get to 30-32 weeks, most babies will flip back to head down and bottom up.
As you reach 34 weeks of pregnancy, MOST babies will assume the head down position and we expect that this is the final position before labor and birth❗

What is a blighted o**m❓

A blighted o**m is a fertilized egg that implants in the uterus but does not develop into an embryo, also known as an anembryonic pregnancy.

Symptoms:
👌Positive pregnancy test
👌Sore breasts
👌Missed period
👌Vaginal spotting or bleeding
👌Abdominal cramping
👌Disappearance of breast soreness

Causes:
👌Abnormal chromosomes in the fertilized egg
👌 Infection
👌Autoimmune disease in the parent
👌Endocrine disease in the parent

Treatment:
👌Waiting for natural miscarriage
👌Medication to induce miscarriage
👌Surgical procedure (D and C) to remove placental tissues

Prognosis:
