Cholesterol is a waxy, fat-like substance your body needs to function. 🩸 But too much of the wrong type can build up in your arteries and increase the risk of heart disease and stroke.

Know your numbers. Know your health. ❤️

Do you have waist pain after sweeping? Check your posture.

❌ WRONG: Bending your back deeply with a short broom. This causes serious lower back pain.

✅ CORRECT: Use a long broom, bend your knees slightly, keep your back straight, and keep the broom close to your body.

Your back is not a hinge. You can sweep your house without injuring your back.

🩸 FIRST AID FOR NOSEBLEED IN HARMATTAN

Why it happens in Harmattan: Dry dusty air dries inside nose, small vessels break.

What to do:
Sit up & lean forward
Pinch soft part of nose 5-10 mins
Breathe through mouth, stay calm
No cotton/tissue inside nose

Prevention: More water, dust-free room, no picking nose.

If bleeding heavy, >20 mins, or outside Harmattan → go to Primary Health Centre.

🤧 Is your nose constantly running? Don’t ignore it.

A running nose can be caused by allergies, dust, irritants, or a common cold. The good news is that simple steps like avoiding triggers, keeping your environment clean, and staying hydrated may help.

But if it lasts more than 2 weeks, comes with persistent fever, blood in the nasal discharge, breathing difficulty, or wheezing, please seek medical attention.

💙 Listen to your body. Early attention can prevent bigger problems.

How To Manage Nosebleed (Epistaxis)

Epistaxis simply means bleeding from the nose. It is very common.

Many people make this mistake — they tilt the head backward. Please do not do this. Blood will go into the throat and can cause choking or vomiting.

What To Do Instead:
1. Sit up straight and lean slightly forward
2. Pinch the soft part of your nose for 10-15 minutes
3. Breathe through your mouth — do NOT tilt your head back
4. If bleeding continues after 20 minutes, seek medical help immediately
