The rising cases of liver damage, jaundice, weakness, abdominal swelling, and abnormal Liver Function Test (LFT) results in our communities should be a serious concern to everyone in Potiskum and beyond.
One major hidden danger we are now seeing is the excessive and uncontrolled use of herbal medicines.
Yes, some herbs may have benefits, but not every “traditional mixture” is safe. Many people consume unknown herbal preparations daily without knowing:

❌ The correct dosage
❌ The side effects
❌ The damage it may cause to the liver and kidneys
The liver is the body’s natural filter. When overloaded with harmful chemicals and toxic herbal mixtures, it begins to fail silently.
