Muko District Cries for Help Over Lack of Roads, Hospital, Schools and Water
The people of Muko District in Chakfem Chiefdom, Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State, are crying out for help as hardship continues to worsen in the community.
For years, residents have lived without good roads, hospitals, clean drinking water, and quality schools. Despite several appeals, the community says little or no attention has been given to their suffering.
In February 2026, Dangkats Planet TV Media highlighted the painful situation in Muko District. Shortly after the report, the Governor of Plateau State sent a delegation to visit the area and assess the challenges facing the people.
Sadly, residents say that since the visit, no meaningful development has taken place.
Many sick people reportedly struggle to access healthcare because there is no hospital in the district. Families are forced to travel to Quan’Pan and Nasarawa areas in search of medical care.
The situation became worse in April after a heavy windstorm destroyed the LEA Primary School in Muko. Since then, children in the community have remained out of school.
Community leaders and residents are now passionately calling on the government, NGOs, and compassionate Nigerians to urgently intervene before the situation deteriorates further.
According to Their Acting District Head DA Andrawus Shebna, “Muko needs help now.”
Dangkats Planet TV Media continues to follow developments in the area and promises to keep the public informed.
