All You Need to Know About Our ALFORTAL GMP Service
What Is ALFORTAL GMP?
ALFORTAL GMP, which stands for Get More Patients, is a healthcare patient-enquiry and care-coordination service provided by ALFORTAL Healthcare. It is intended to help connect people seeking healthcare with appropriately qualified and licensed healthcare professionals, subject to professional requirements, availability and applicable law. This may include people who have difficulty travelling to hospitals or clinics because they are elderly, have a disability or require care at home.
The service is designed to support private-practice doctors, locum doctors, registered nurses and other eligible healthcare professionals by improving the visibility of their services, facilitating relevant patient enquiries and supporting appropriate appointment coordination. ALFORTAL Healthcare does not replace a healthcare professional’s independent clinical judgment, professional duties or responsibility for the care they provide.
About ALFORTAL Healthcare
ALFORTAL Healthcare is a healthcare navigation and care-coordination company that seeks to connect people looking for healthcare services with appropriately qualified and licensed doctors, registered nurses and other eligible healthcare professionals across Nigeria. We are developing a network of healthcare professionals to support access to appropriate care, including care for people who may be unable to visit hospitals or clinics, while helping professionals make their services easier for potential clients to find.
Availability of professionals and services may vary by location. A connection or enquiry does not guarantee an appointment, treatment outcome or referral to a particular professional.
How the ALFORTAL GMP Service Works
ALFORTAL Healthcare may receive enquiries through marketing and communication channels, including Facebook and Instagram. Our team may collect information about a person's requested service, location and preferred type of care and, where appropriate, facilitate contact with a suitable professional in our network.
Any provider information or connection is based on factors such as:
- The client's requested service
- The provider's stated qualifications and registration status
- The provider's scope of practice
- The provider's location and availability
- The client's stated preferences
- Whether the provider appears able to deliver the requested service safely and appropriately
Providers remain responsible for confirming their current registration, licensing, competence, availability and suitability for each engagement. Clients should independently consider the provider's credentials and ask questions before proceeding.
Where appropriate and subject to availability, professional requirements and the client's agreement, we may assist with appointment coordination and administrative follow-up. ALFORTAL Healthcare does not make clinical diagnoses, prescribe treatment or guarantee the quality, outcome or suitability of any particular service.
What Services Can Providers Offer?
The services available through ALFORTAL GMP depend on each professional's qualifications, current registration or licence, scope of practice, competence, location and agreed service offerings. Depending on these factors, services may include:
- Medical consultations
- Locum medical services
- Nursing care
- Eligible home healthcare visits
- Support for elderly or incapacitated patients
- Preventive health services where permitted
- Follow-up care
- Other appropriate healthcare services
Each provider is responsible for determining whether they can safely and lawfully deliver a service and must work within their qualifications, competence, professional standards, licensing requirements and applicable regulations. Services may be subject to clinical assessment, informed consent, safeguarding requirements and any necessary facility, employer or regulatory approvals.
ALFORTAL GMP is not an emergency service. Anyone experiencing a medical emergency should contact the appropriate emergency service or attend the nearest suitable hospital or clinic.
How Are Appointments Coordinated?
Appointments are coordinated according to the client's stated needs, the provider's availability, the service location and the nature of the requested service.
Providers indicate their availability during onboarding or through subsequent updates. The ALFORTAL Healthcare team may assist with communication between the client and provider. Specific appointment times, service details, locations, fees and any applicable terms should be confirmed by the client and provider before the service is provided.
Where suitable and lawful, appointments may take place at the patient's home or another agreed location, particularly when the patient is elderly, has a disability or has difficulty travelling to a hospital or clinic. Home visits are subject to the provider's assessment, safety requirements, scope of practice and availability.
We may seek to accommodate weekday and weekend appointments in locations where suitable providers are available. We do not guarantee coverage, availability or appointment times in any particular area.
Who Can Join ALFORTAL GMP?
We welcome appropriately qualified private-practice doctors, locum doctors and registered nurses across Nigeria who are interested in applying to join our provider network. Other healthcare professionals may be considered where their qualifications, registration, scope of practice and proposed services are appropriate.
Full-time employed doctors and registered nurses may also apply, provided that:
- They are appropriately qualified, registered and licensed for the services they propose to provide
- Their employment terms and workplace policies permit the proposed activities
- Their participation does not create an actual or apparent conflict of interest
- They comply with applicable professional, employment, privacy, safeguarding and regulatory requirements
- They meet any other relevant practice, insurance, documentation or onboarding requirements
Acceptance into the network is not automatic. ALFORTAL Healthcare may request evidence of qualifications, registration, licensing, identity, insurance or other information reasonably required for onboarding and compliance. Inclusion in the network does not constitute an endorsement, guarantee of work or guarantee of patient volume.
How Does Provider Remuneration Work?
Remuneration, if applicable, depends on the service provided, the provider's agreed fees and the written or otherwise documented commercial arrangement established during onboarding.
Providers should receive the applicable terms before accepting an assignment, including the basis for any payment, deductions, administrative charges, booking charges or other fees. Clients should be informed of the relevant service fees and payment terms before committing to a service, where required.
Any arrangement involving marketing, booking, coordination, commissions, revenue sharing or other payments must be structured and operated in accordance with applicable law, professional rules, licensing requirements, advertising standards, tax obligations and the policies of relevant employers or institutions. ALFORTAL Healthcare does not intend to require or facilitate payments that would improperly influence clinical judgment, patient choice or the allocation of care.
Providers remain responsible for their professional services, clinical decisions, records, taxes, insurance and compliance obligations. Nothing in this service description should be understood as legal, regulatory, tax or professional advice. Providers should obtain independent advice where necessary.
