….AKSHIA rounds off SIWES program for first batch.
The Akwa Ibom State Health Insurance Agency, AKSHIA, has successfully rounded off the Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme, SIWES, program for the first batch of students from the College of Health Technology, Etinan.
The students, who came in this month, were engaged across departments where they received practical training in health insurance operations, enrollees’ management, claims, facility supervision, and customer service.
Describing the partnership as "another plus to AKSHIA to be recognized by the school", the Executive Secretary, Dr Igbemi Arthur Igbemi represented by the Director of Administration, Mrs Hannah Nta thanked all staff for mentoring the students and for upholding the standards that made the Agency a preferred place for SIWES placement.
According to him, the exercise is in line with the ARISE Agenda of His Excellency, Governor Umo Eno, aimed at building capacity and strengthening the health insurance workforce in the state.
He announced resumption for second batch and expressed appreciation for the teamwork and unity displayed by staff of the Agency as it delivers affordable and quality healthcare to Akwa Ibom people.
One of the student, Aniekan James Nathaniel expressed appreciation on behalf of the team to the Executive Secretary, management and staff for the mentorship and support.
