I can’t let May slip by without acknowledging that it’s Brain Cancer Awareness Month. 💜
Andrew and I have been a little quiet lately—we even missed Arts in the Park this year. That’s because we’ve been in Washington State with my brother and his amazing wife. He’s been facing the unimaginable: a recurrence of glioblastoma and another brain surgery.
This photo was taken just one week after that surgery—Andrew and my brother being their goofy, lovable selves. Because even in hard times, those moments of laughter matter.
The silver lining? He’s moving to Richmond in June, which means he’ll be closer to family (and we fully plan to smother him with way too much love and attention). Now we are in richmond bally gettinginf his new house here readh for him. It’s a big move.
Brain cancer is rare but devastating. Research funding has declined, and we can’t afford to forget how much more we need to learn—not just for glioblastoma, but for all cancers. Awareness matters. Research matters. Hope matters. 💪
