This Emergency Medical Services Week, we reaffirm BEMSAS’ commitment to delivering timely, coordinated, and life-saving emergency medical response across Bayelsa State.

At the Bayelsa Emergency Medical Services and Ambulance System (BEMSAS), our work goes beyond responding to emergencies. It is about strengthening the systems, partnerships, and operational capacity that ensure help arrives when every second matters.

Through continuous capacity building, improved coordination, technology-enabled communication, and stronger emergency response infrastructure, we remain committed to building a responsive and reliable emergency medical system for the people of Bayelsa State.

This week, we celebrate the dedication of our responders, healthcare workers, and partners whose service makes rapid medical intervention possible every day.
Because every second counts. Every response matters. And when you call, we answer.

Earlier this week, Bayelsa Emergency Medical Services and Ambulance System (BEMSAS) convened a strategic stakeholders’ meeting to strengthen emergency response and ambulance services across Bayelsa State.

Led by the Hon. Commissioner for Health, Dr. Seiyefa Brisibe, public and private emergency medical treatment and transport providers came together to explore practical ways to improve coordination, responsiveness, and service delivery statewide.

Discussions focused on strengthening the capacity of emergency personnel, aligning services with national standards under the National Emergency Medical Services and Ambulance System, and identifying sustainable approaches to delivering timely, quality emergency care across Bayelsa State.

This collaborative engagement reflects BEMSAS’ commitment to building a safer, more responsive emergency system that protects lives and serves communities effectively.

The work continues, strategically, collaboratively, and with the people of Bayelsa at the centre.
