Poison Information Center (PIC) at Dhulikhel Hospital successfully conducted a CME program on management of Organophosphates and Phosphides poisoning on 22nd March. More than 75 participants participated in the session which had online zoom streaming also. Distinguished speakers from Emergency medicine, Critical care, Internal medicine and Pediatrics delivered insightful and interactive sessions highlighting the current updates, challenges and perspectives on the management of those most common toxicological problems.

The session also discussed on enhancing awareness, prevention, and need of concerted efforts in addressing the increasing burden of toxicological problems which has been a public health challenge in our country for decades.

March is widely recognized as poison prevention awareness month. Poison Information Center is conducting various activities to raise awareness about poisoning risks and prevention strategies.

Poison Information Center (PIC) is a collaborative effort of Dhulikhel Hospital and Poison Center Collaborative (PCC) of HAPSA Nepal, which is a non for profit NGO (www.hapsaglobe.org) working in strengthening healthcare and capacity building of health wotkers especially in rural and underserved regions.

We sincerely thank all the participants, speakers, and organizers for making this program very successful.
