Delineation of target and critical organs is an extremely time-consuming process, in most clinical cases. Progress has been made toward computer-assisted automatic contouring, pattern recognition, and auto segmentation. However, the basic problem remains that target delineation is inherently a manual process, since the extend of target depends on tumor grade, stage, and patterns of spread to adjacent structures. Clinical evaluation of the contouring results by a radiation oncologist provides the final judgment in defining the target volume.

Nepalese Association of medical physicists is the Facebook platform of medical physicists works in different cancer hospitals of Nepal. We currently, eight working in the hospital as clinical medical physicists. We involve in radiation treatment of cancer patient. Our major jobs are: treatment planning, quality assurance/control, radiation protection, and cancer cure research.

Qualification;
The Minimum Qualification to be clinical medical physicists in Nepal is masters degree in physics with masters degree in Medical physics having two years of clinical training under complete supervision of qualified medical physicists.
