In my clinical practice, I frequently see individuals who focus heavily on strength training with sudden increases in weight while completely neglecting flexibility and mobility exercises. This is a After the laminectomy surgery, she lost almost all strength in her right leg, with the foot being the most severely affected. The surgeons had informed her that she would likely never regain movement in her foot.
When I first met her 18 months ago, she was completely bedridden and unable to stand or walk independently. We began a structured rehabilitation program with consistent physiotherapy exercises. She followed the rehabilitation process with remarkable dedication and discipline, never missing her exercises.
Today, she has regained 100% strength above the right foot and approximately 50% strength and movement in the foot itself. Her progress is a powerful example of how determination, patience, and consistent rehabilitation can lead to significant recovery, even in severe nerve injuries.

In most of the back pain cases, patient are advised to take long bed rest. It leads to muscle tightness, weakness due to inactivity and decreased mobility leading to increase in further pain and difficulty in returning to daily activity.
