Japanese Encephalitis (JE) cases are rising in Nepal.
To date, 21 individuals have died from the infection, all of whom were unvaccinated.
Japanese Encephalitis is a serious viral brain infection transmitted through infected mosquito bites. Prevention matters, especially during the monsoon season.
Protect yourself and your family:
Get vaccinated against JE as advised
Prevent mosquito bites
Use mosquito nets and repellents
Keep your home and surroundings clean and reduce mosquito breeding areas
Vaccination is an important preventive measure against Japanese Encephalitis. If you are unsure about your vaccination status or whether the vaccine is appropriate for you, consult a qualified healthcare professional.
