MÄmÄ Wellness Tip: The 3pm driveway reset đââď¸â¨
Does anyone else hit 3pm and suddenly feel like their battery has gone from 42% to âplease plug me into the wall immediatelyâ?
Every day around 3 oâclock, I feel it.
The tiredness.
The end-of-day slump.
The mental load whispering, âRight, girl, time to rev back up.â
School pick-ups, dinner, sports, homework, baths, bedtime⌠all waiting at the gate like a tiny unpaid workforce.
Usually, this is the moment I reach for coffee or chocolate.
Today, I tried something different.
I read somewhere that when the afternoon crash hits, a quick burst of movement can help wake the body back up â not a full workout, not a dramatic fitness transformation, just enough to get the blood moving.
So I ran up my driveway.
Once.
I planned to do it twice, but letâs not get carried away.
And honestly? I did feel better. More awake. More energised. A little less like I was about to merge with the couch and become one with the cushions.
So hereâs your tiny mÄmÄ reset idea:
When the 3pm slump hits, try stepping outside and moving your body for 30â60 seconds.
Run up the driveway.
Do ten star jumps.
Walk quickly around the house.
Dance in the kitchen.
Shake the tiredness off like a wet dog with responsibilities.
Small movement. Fresh air. A tiny spark back in the tank.
Not perfect wellness.
Just practical mÄmÄ survival with a little bit of science and a lot of âplease help me make it to bedtime.â
Would you try this?
