This is in NO WAY saying one is better than the other. These are just some differences that exist between the two professions, but more importantly ... the similarities!! Dietitians and nutritionists alike basically share the same passion - FOOD 🤤⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Having a variety of fibre from the different sources means you reap the many benefits! Foods that are high in fibre are usually packed with a heap of other good micronutrients too 🥦🥝🌽 Fibre is the 💣 nutrient for fullness, blood sugar control, gut health, the list goes on!

Most importantly (to me, at least), enough fibre means GOOD BOWEL MOVEMENTS! 💩 Things like stress, lack of activity, change in diet, sleep (things you may very well be experiencing in isolation) can mess up your toilet time, which can be quite frustrating 🥴

Your gut, the bacteria living there, your a**s, & the rest of your beautiful body will thank you for including a range of fibrous foods each day!

We all know how difficult these periods can be for our hunger and fullness signals - things like boredom, stress, lack of sleep or routine, bad days, can throw these into whack! Where most of us find ourselves, eating all the time 🥴⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Here are a few tips to bring back a bit of mindfulness to eating ~~⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
COOK & CREATE - explore social media for a recipes you might like! Taking time to cook a fancy or not-so-fancy meal, allows you to check in with yourself and your hunger, and eliminates the quick and easy nature of opening a pack of treats 👨🏽‍🍳⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
FILL YOUR BELLY - by making sure meals include enough carbs, proteins, fats, & veg/fruit will mean that they fill you up, and keep you full for a longer time 🍱⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
ALL FOODS FIT - I can't say this enough. Restricting foods will bring on ravenous eating that is harder to stop, resulting in guilt, more restriction etc BREAK DAT CYCLE 🔄⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
SLOW DOWN - if able, designate meal locations to allow food to be eaten without distractions (tv, laptop). Take time to taste and appreciate the food 💭⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
EAT WITH THE CLOCK - if you're really struggling with meal times, use the clock as a prompt. Incorporate the other tips, and set times to eat 2-3 hrs apart (no more than 3 hrs) ⏰⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
