Sometimes you can’t think your way into calm.
You have to move into it.

Love this feedback from Nikki Justo Casanova, who was new to poi when she came through the SpinPoi Certification Course last year, and is now doing poi almost weekly with her aged care residents. “I am incorporating poi in my morning exercises, and have also included it in my physio management for our residents. Most of my residents are quite challenging when I ask them to do exercises. However, they are very enthusiastic when it’s poi activity. With my beginner poi skills, I am glad that I can help improve the wellbeing of my residents.”

⬆️ Level up Your Poi September is here! ⬆️
spinpoi.com/level-up-your-poi

This month we will be learning the corkscrew, exploring its coolest variations, and discovering the underrated horizontal plane to add a fresh dimension to your poi flow. We’ll also learn how to match your poi spinning to music. This improves coordination, feels nice, and is a great way to synchronize multiple poi spinners.

⬆️ Level Up Your Poi: August Addition! ⬆️
spinpoi.com/level-up-your-poi

This month we are covering stalls and antispin. Learning stalls allows you to change direction with the poi, an alternative to pendulums. The process of learning to stall also improves plane control, speed control, and left/right independence. Stalls are a useful move for musicality in your poi spinning, also a great way to get into antispins and the concept behind them, helping you see how your poi can move in opposition to your hand. Understanding antispin opens up a whole new layer of movement, expanding your pattern vocabulary and control. It’s a key milestone that will shift how you approach flow and unlock a wide range of new possibilities.

“I struggle with flashbacks, panic attacks and flashback type dreams, I also have an eating disorder and struggle to function normally day to day. I've noticed Path is helping me to learn to slow down my thoughts, and even how I feel in my body. I do have bad days and then remember what I need to do.” - Path Graduate, June 2026
