Pretty little blooms, “spring snowflake” picked by the roadside this morning. It’s misty and a bit wet outside, these blossoms are saying “shhhh it’s ok to go back to bed”. Why thankyou dear I just might 😇🤍

Hey friends just sharing this because sometimes I like to doodle and I recently made this poster for - who I’m lucky enough to have a membership with. So if you like coffee, pottery & nature you’re in for a treat because Titirangi pottery are selling beautiful hand-made mugs filled with steamy hot coffee (thanks to ) and all the proceeds go to - who are an amazing group working on native restoration & biodiversity. All happening Sun July 26 and you can go to the Glen Eden or Titirangi Crafty Baker to score a beauty mug! Plus extra sweet pieces being sold at the Titirangi Market on the same day. I’ll share a pic of what I’ve made once it’s out of the kiln 🤞🏼🙏🏼 but in the meantime put July 26 in your calendar! Also a massive shout out to who have donated clay to make this cool thing happen! 🌱💚

Midwinter blooms.
How much love & appreciation do you have for these blossoms? The bellisimo tree dahlia (dahlia imperialis) grows up to an impressive 5-6 meters, survives the tropical storms of late summer & spring winds and then stands tall and proud on these crisp wintery days bringing cheer and glory to an otherwise bedraggled looking garden bed. When they’re done for the season, chop them down and provide valuable mulch for the winter beds. Or take cuttings from the stems and plant some more! 🤍🤍🤍

The pink full moon in Libra is a time to re-centre, recalibrate, and rebalance our partnerships and sense of self.

It’s a time to re-evaluate where our needs aren’t being met and to use our tools of compassion and communication to reconfigure a fresh path forward.

May the Germanic goddess of dawn and spring Eostre, bless you this weekend as we celebrate this long weekend in her name, associated with fertility, renewal, and the blooming of new life. 🌸🩷

This dahlia is 🤍🌟🤍!
Tsuki-Yori-No-Shisha is a Japanese-bred, fimbriated dahlia variety introduced in 1953 that translates to “Messenger from the Moon”. Because there’s no denying, it really is just so cosmic and spesh 🤍

So in love with these teensy tiny blooms of the NZ native Hangehange or NZ privet. They’re so small it’s a bit of a trick to set them in a vase and get a decent angle as they’re also very upright!

These are spring blooms that I photographed last year and what’s so magic about them is that they have the most delectable spicy scent. But of course they’re so small that unless you’re in the know, you probably would likely walk right past them and not even suspect that they were the source!

Another beautiful gift from our goddess planet Papatūānuku 💚🌏🍃

As the snake energy is in its final phase I wanted to draw a card for this week. From the deck we have this beautiful, crowned owl of victory;

“Victory is imminent. If you’ve been doubting yourself recently, you’ll soon see that this was time wasted. People in power will notice your efforts and reward you properly; lovers will declare their feelings of affection and dedication; stars will align just so and shine generously in your direction. Bask in the glory, dear one … you have been through many tribulations, and now it’s time to enjoy the triumph. This card signifies that you have earned this place of success and you will ride high for quite some time.”

“We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence therefore, is not an act but a habit.”
— Will Durant

Have the best week beautiful people 💛

Morning beauties. I just wanted to publish the news that I’m in process of rebuilding my website and transferring to another website provider. So if you are on there ordering and you notice any weird glitches, that will be why. Feel free to DM me if you’re having trouble or want to give feedback. Much appreciated and have a wonderful, sunshiney day! 🌸

Madly cutting blooms to save them from this wild tropical cyclone. It seems to have become the norm these days for a wild storm with unsympathetic easterly gusts to come in just as the blooms are opening! 😭
The silver lining is I’ve managed to get a bunch picked and lots of my neighbours are keen to have some fresh picked bouquets in their homes. I’ve shrouded my dear favourite “Otto’s Thrill” in a plant blanket and fingers crossed it comes out the other side with all buds intact! 🤞🏼
Batten the hatches and stay safe everyone! 💨
