The ocean taught me a powerful lesson yesterday! 🌊
For the last few days, the dolphins have been turning up at the oceans edge in front of my Air Bnb in Niue, inviting me to come and swim with them. 🐬
Yesterday I walked down to the waters edge in front of our house, and the dolphins were there, but I didn't feel confident to get in the water there as I would have to walk across the reef.
I told the dolphins, "I am going to the wharf, if you want to swim with me I will see you there."
I walked down the road to the wharf, put my mask, snorkel and fins on and climbed in the water. I made a sound through my snorkel to let them know that I was in the water, and immediately I heard the familiar click of the dolphins in response to me. My heart soared as I realised they were close by, and then I looked up and laughed in amazement as they were right there! 🥰
I observed them as they swam close by to me, and listened to their clicks and tones, as they played together, and I realised this was my first experience of swimming with a pod of dolphins alone! ❤️
As they left, I bid them farewell, and then I suddenly realised I was snorkelling quite a distance from the wharf and I was alone. My next thought was "Is there anything in the ocean I don't want to swim with?" And I immediately thought, "Yes a shark!" 🦈
So of course, what immediately appeared next to me in the ocean ... a shark! I immediately went into fear, "What if it attacks me? What would I do? Nobody else is with me!" I realised I had gone into an energy of fear, so I immediately centred my energy, took a few deep breaths and calmed myself down.
The shark swam close by to me and looked at me, I received the telepathic message from the shark, "I don't know what you're worried about, I'm more scared of you than you are of me!" 😂
It was a powerful lesson, that I had attracted the very experience that I desired, whilst also attracting the experience that I was fearing, and so to be more mindful of my thoughts. It was also good to recognise that the shark meant me no harm, and also wished to have a peaceful interaction, as I'd had with the dolphins. ☺️
