🌺 Supporting Pacific-led solutions for better health outcomes 🌺
BreastScreen Auckland Central was privileged to attend the launch of the **Moana Wellness Village – Pacific Breast Screening Community of Practice** held at Fale o Samoa in Māngere.
The day brought together health providers, community organisations, advocates, and leaders to share knowledge, strengthen partnerships, and explore ways to better support Pacific women, families, and communities to access breast screening services.
We heard valuable insights from the Pacific Best Practice Panel, including community leaders and advocates who spoke about the importance of trust, cultural safety, health literacy, accessibility, family support, and meeting communities where they are.
The discussions reinforced that improving breast screening participation is about more than providing information. It is about building relationships, listening to communities, and working together to create services that are culturally responsive and community-led.
BreastScreen Auckland Central is grateful to be part of these important conversations and to continue working alongside Pacific communities and partners to improve health outcomes for Pacific women across Tāmaki Makaurau.
