Basal Cell Carcinoma (BCC) is the most common form of skin cancer — and while it’s considered one of the least dangerous types, it should never be ignored.

BCC develops in the basal cells within the outer layer of the skin and is most commonly caused by cumulative sun exposure over time. It can appear in different ways, including:

• Red patches
• Pink or shiny bumps
• Open sores that don’t heal
• Scar-like areas on the skin

Although BCCs rarely spread to other parts of the body, they can continue to grow and damage the surrounding skin and tissue if left untreated.

The good news? Early detection makes a huge difference. Regular skin checks with a qualified skin specialist can help identify suspicious spots early and provide peace of mind.

If you’ve noticed a spot that’s changing, not healing, or simply doesn’t look right, it’s worth getting it checked. Your skin remembers every sunburn — even from years ago.

Basal Cell Carcimoma (BCC), also known as a rodent ulcer, is a type of skin cancer. BCC Cancer is the most common of the skin cancer types. It is also the least dangerous.

We use the SkinScan as a powerful tracking tool, not for diagnosis. It supports our clinicians by highlighting any new or changing lesions before they are visible to the human eye. During your consultation the doctor may use AIMEE AI to assist in skin cancer diagnosis, but the final conclusion is always made by the doctor.
